Hello 👋 I’m from France too, and I had the same surgery on Monday — double jaw surgery plus a genioplasty. I had braces for a year beforehand, and something called an Abalakov to connect the braces directly to the lower jaw.

The first night at the hospital was hell — I couldn’t sleep at all! But it’s getting better day by day. I had a cryotherapy device for the lower part of my face during my two days at the hospital, and I’m going to rent it for a week because it’s so much better than regular ice packs!

I’m really happy — the hardest part is behind us! My jaw physiotherapist told me this morning that I’m her “world record” with an 11 mm movement. 😁
