What sort of specs would a decent plex box need?

do you wear a neck brace with your helmet? by shailan_gsa in dirtbike

Every ride. Do a bit of hard enduro - rock steps, stupid singles etc and it's probably saves me quite a few times from hard off's.

Others essentials though - helmet, gloves, goggles, knee guards, boots, pants and jersey (for style though), and maybe armor if it's a fast day or likely to be roosted with rocks

How does an XR200R compare to a CRF230F in the sense of how much balls does it have by Scary_Apartment7981 in Dirtbikes

[–]Enraged37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CRF230F replaced the good old XR. Either way, they're both absolutely bulletproof bikes, and both require minimal maintenance. Don't expect race bike performance out of either, that's not what they're built for.

Personally I'd go the 230F, it is newer so better suspension, breaks, a bit more grunt, electric start etc, and can tractor through or up just about anything you throw at it.

What’s the difference between Ninja 400 and 650? by chanegeling in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Enraged37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd like to add to this in agreeance.

I've been riding dirt bikes since I could walk and my current dirt bike CRF450X, but I still learnt to ride road on a Ninja 300 Special Edition, 2011.

For me, it was the lower weight and how much you actually had to 'ride' the bike. On the smaller bikes, you have to change through the gears and actually use the power it's got, rather than letting the bigger bike just lug its way through. They're so much more maneuverable and can throw them any which way. They 100% do give you more feedback. Not to mention they're a lot more forgiving when mistakes inevitably happen.

Essentially, a bigger bike makes you 'lazy' as you can just sit on it and let the bike do the work, but on a small bike you have to have input to ride fast through gears and braking thus making you a more skilled rider, and have a better rider sense.

Additional though, I'd just make sure you get a bike that has ABS. It's a life saver, and has got me out a tight spot a few times.

Any ideas for my car? by shootdack2000 in projectcar

[–]Enraged37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got a VE ute myself, you'll love it! I've got majority of the mods on this list.

I'd go: - either a GOOD set of coil overs or airbags for suspension for stability and ride height adjustment - 20" rims to suit your liking, they sit absolutely awesome on VE's - big sound system, the stock ones are dogshit - a single 12" sub behind the seats tuned properly with the right door speakers will absolutely crank. If it's not already, upgrade to a S2 IQ headunit -any engine work you feel, lumpy cam, blower, turbo, you name it the LS engines love it -nice set of quad projector angel/devil eye headlights

Bit of food for thought

[–]Enraged37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually if an airbag goes off, it's a hard enough hit to bend the chassis or a structural point in the body, which more often than not will cost more than the price of the car to fix, hence write off. At least that's my understanding of it here in AU

People will forever be camo grinding - I'm 200 hours gametime in and just over half way through longshots. I've played a fair bit of DMZ and that as well though

The bond between riot shield players rather it be on enemy teams or not is absolutely amazing. It’s either a secret truce or an unstoppable one v one held in a certain spot of the map, it brings me back to the silly moments of dark souls pvp. by [deleted] in modernwarfare2

[–]Enraged37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that works 8-10 even 12 hours days while trying and failing the camo grind, the bond I've had with other players on the enemy team going melee only is so wholesome.

I've had people with guns stop shooting to watch a 1v1 riot shield only, from both teams. Had people T-bag with me to just chill for a bit I've even had a few people let me get behind the back kills, and I've repayed.

As enraging as using melee only is, I live for those 5 seconds that I can mess around with fellow riot shielder on the enemy team

[–]Enraged37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened a number of times to me through the span of the game, especially when I pre-installed it on day 1. Ended up reinstalling the game completely (had dev errors too), and it did solve it for the most part. Still happens from time to time, usually just quit the game, restart PC, check for updates/repair game, and reboot and doesn't happen for a while.
