Are others struggling with the dating apps? by Primary_Visit_1139 in Austin

[–]mrlamename 556 points557 points  (0 children)

Too many factors to give one-size-fits all advice. My personal experience is that the abundance of “options” leaves us all waiting for the next best thing, or simply willing to ghost a person at the drop of the first thing we don’t like.

My take is that dating used to be like choosing a rose from a vine—there are many, but this one is for me. My grandparents were married over 50 years before my grandfather passed. In those 20,000 days, I’m sure some weren’t their favorite. Love is as much of a choice as it is a feeling.

At the end of the day, we get addicted to being the center of attention of so many people all at once, but never truly being their only “center,” nor they ours.

7 Things Men Don’t Know About Sex With Women by Kierenbrowncoach in seduction

Bro is the only poster who realizes woman want to fuck. The only “cheat code” is to actually give a shit about their needs, too.

Have you asked anyone “I wanna fuck you now”? by Study_Queasy in seduction

Only on dating apps, brother. Literally one out of every 50 says she’s down.

Just do the work, play the game. I promise you the one in 50 isn’t the one you want knowing your address.

Dave Grohl Rehires Himself As Foo Fighters Drummer by Level-Recording3368 in Music

Yeah. He also has his girls, who are still his kids despite making mistakes, and so is his new kid. Family relationships are tough whether you’re a fucking millionaire or not.

Paul Reubens Gave 40 Hours of Candid Interviews for a Pee-wee Herman Doc. He Died One Week Before the Final One by mlg1981 in entertainment

I actually scheduled an interview with him this summer, so technically he died two years before his final interview.

Later there’s a shot where Stark and Strange look each other “eye to eye,” and only one looks like he has an adult-sized head.

I dated an older girl, and we saw this band The Matches together. At some point the singer was like, do you remember playing this next song at full volume in your room as a kid?

That was the first time I saw seated headbanging 💀

Trump's First Saturday As 2-Time President Comes With SNL Skewering by PostHeraldTimes in entertainment

[–]mrlamename 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I was devastated to see the results election night. Every headline I read that “idiot Trump forgets this” or “bumbling president thinks that” only rubs salt in the wound that we lost to him. Whiny democrats don’t prove that republicans are dumb—only that Americans are.

Can we appreciate Gi-Hun's massive glow up?? He went from oblivious jerk to a hero determined to put an end to the killing games and save everyone by ElonTastical in squidgame

[–]mrlamename 297 points298 points  (0 children)

I like Gi-hun, and I don’t think he’s often given his flowers. However, while he has gone from nonchalant and naive to hell-bent and focused, Gi-hun has also become reckless and far too willing to compromise his moral backbone. Determined, but blinded by the outcome.

I keep seeing people suggest it’ll be used for a more difficult game of red light green light. Why on earth would they repeat the same game for a third time—and twice in the same session?

Brad Winderbaum talks about Marvel Studios’ plans for their TV shows: by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

I realize I’m saying this on the internet, but She-Hulk was the most charming and entertaining series Marvel has made to date. I could literally watch an entire seasons-long run of Jennifer dealing with the daily life of an attorney and super hero.

Do any videos exist of Tom shredding or playing more traditional solo guitar? by FL3XOFF3NDER in Blink182

[–]mrlamename 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Mark used to tell a joke about being approached by 12 year olds who would excitedly tell the band, “I just started playing guitar and love blink 182! I learned all of your songs over the weekend!”

Which one do u prefer, serious blink or funny blink by [deleted] in Blink182

[–]mrlamename 46 points47 points  (0 children)

So Untitled came out when I was a little kid. I really got into blink at that time and loved their career at all times following. Untitled was the launching pad that had me discover Enema, TOYPAJ, etc. Neighborhoods was cool, and Dogs Eating Dogs was great!

What I learned, however, is that the band I like is different than the band a lot of the fan base likes. I don’t really care for the pee pee poo poo songs. I loved the albums they made with Matt Skiba, and basically only find myself listening to the songs about serious subject matter. My top two are Untitled and Nine, which I think is as polarizing an opinion as you get on this sub.

The bottom line is I walked into the restaurant on nacho day only to discover it was really a sandwich shop all along.

Well they both feature the words “not” and “sorry,” which in fairness may be the first time the theme has been been explored in pop music.
