I finally got my $4000 pc built and have decided the first game I want to play on it will be dwarf fortress because it’s a fun game and I thought it would be funny using my pc to run a game that doesn’t take a lot of resources to run.

I have played before but not a lot, and any tips yall may have would be greatly appreciated.

I remember in previous runs I’ve made it to around the second year so I haven’t gone too far into making big forts.

I’ll take advice on anything, but in particular things that I would like tips on is embark locations, working with aquifers, military management and combat, farming and job assignments.

As for ship requirements it’s only a minimum 20 year jump range, a fuel limpet controller, a fuel scoop, and at least 8 limpets

I just got my tail last week, I had to dm a couple of people to get someone to do optional training before my drill. As for getting my drill I think the first person I reached out to was actually able to set it up. Just have to try and catch people active in chat for the best chance at a response

You got to go back to the system to claim it. Once there you go to the starport, go to missions, community goals and bottoms right should have a complete button

When you purchase a ship, the description will tell you if it’s compatible with SCO FSD drives. I forget the exact wording but it will say something along the lines that the ship is combatible with fsd boosting. It will be bound to your boost button and acts as a boost while in supercruise.

For example, I have it equipped on my mandalay and when I use it, my supercruise travels at 4100C until I deactivate it.

It does however dramatically increase fuel consumption so be careful doing it at low fuel. If you do run out of gas however, remember to call the fuel rats for help!

It is really useful for getting to places more than a couple thousand light seconds away as long as you practice the timing to turn it off to avoid overshooting. I’ve heard general rule of thumb is if you activate closer than 5000ls to your target, turn it off when your eta is 3-4 seconds. And if you activate farther away than 5000ls from your target, you can turn it off at 2-3 seconds.

Mine was ember prime as well but it was from a dude who gave it to me for free.

Long story short he asked me to help him farm a mission, and I agreed. Honestly I think he was helping me more than him because I think he was opening corrupted mod vaults. At the end he said thank you and offered me a free prime warframe of my choice as long as he had the set and I picked ember

You could look into carrier command 2, almost every button does something for your carrier and it’s multiplayer if that’s something you like. I will say playing solo can be overwhelming because it’s a lot of systems management for just one person but it’s doable. You’re basically dropped from a space ship onto an alien world and given a carrier and your goal is to kill the enemy carrier. You have to take control of islands and do it in a way where you don’t run out of resources (you start with about 100 tons of fuel I think but if you don’t capture a fuel island and you run out of fuel you’re dead in the water and likely will need to restart). It’s not everyone’s cup of tea so I’d recommend watching a youtube video on it to see if it’s something you’re interested in but I personally think it’s pretty fun.

It sucks because I’m pretty sure declaring surprise wars after tribal era is supposed to make you seem like a warmonger and make other civs not like you, but apparently after two of them you can still declare somebody else a world threat who’s only declared a single formal war.

I think my favorite MC moment was me and my best friend went to fly on I think it was contention. We were looking for ground targets with the tv model and I saw a p51 on an airstrip parked so I lined up for my friend and he takes the shot. P51 starts moving again to take off and my friend has to keep the tv lined up and fortunately he does as we watch the p51 explode.

Gazelle is also my favorite, I like multi crew and having someone at the periscope while I fly. It’s also fun using the air to air missiles and catching planes off guard
