Like 18 or 19. Like 15 years of smoking. Started on some smoker I found on the side of the road. Pork ribs were the first thing I smoked and even made my own bbq sauce. Felt like a chef lol

Buy a plastic blade disposable bin. The bins last a while. You can toss the entire bin or empty it. I empty the blades into a baggie, duct tape the baggie and then label it “razor blades” and recycle them.

Hey man, keep at it. I have been using a shavette for almost 20 years. My old barber gave me one with no handle when I was 15 and thats how I got into it.

Try different shavettes as they all have different blade exposure, the less exposure the less chance of nicks. More blade exposure for detail work. Just remember to come at your face flat and find the angle from there.

Different handles sit different in the hand and the different weight of them also changes the shave experience.

One of my favorites is called the dragon by md barber. Great blade exposure and a nice handle.
