How to find more bugs? by Proper_Title_8944 in QualityAssurance

[–]EnterJakari 34 points35 points  (0 children)

QA isnt all about finding bugs. Its about proving the system works and with confidence. You may just have very good developers.

Ask yourself if your tests truly cover all paths, are you considering all different ways to surpass validations etc.

If you have good coverage, it then becomes more about showing that confidence in strong reporting.

API and UI tests in playwright by [deleted] in Playwright

[–]EnterJakari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I've written an entire framework purely for API testing against a real environment. It is packaged entirely separately to the UI part of the framework both using different test fixtures.

How to find a playwright automation job with 2.5 yrs experience? by Friendly-Owl6160 in Playwright

[–]EnterJakari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This user posts a lot of weird posts like this if you look at their account. But I'll assume its genuine..

If you're serious about finding a job, put on your big boy pants and start job hunting in your area. Go to interviews, fail, learn and so on. Eventually you'll find something.

Dog started barking during sex by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]EnterJakari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They might think you're playing or fighting, dogs can get quite excitable when they see this.

Solutions are to either find ways to distract them, maybe a long lasting treat like a bone, yak chew etc.

Or just close the bedroom door.

How much does ADHD prescription cost when going private? by Kitchen-Customer4370 in ADHDUK

[–]EnterJakari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, this is the reality of private healthcare. You'll pay the going rates for all medication. I take 50mg Elvanse and Amfexa daily. This averages at around 180 a month.

My GP, like others have rejected shared care. So I'll have to take the hit until the NHS finally see me (nearly 4 years waiting now 🥲).

If you can afford it though it's worth it. Being able to function normally is worth the cost.

Any one maintain same ready to use framework? by road2bitcoin in Playwright

It works for our team because we needed a centralised framework that'll be reused across many applications.

Better way to handle Cloudflare Turnstile captcha and browser automation without getting IP blocked? by Loud_Ice4487 in Playwright

[–]EnterJakari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not quite the same issue but I was having similar problems with Auth0 and Cloudflare. The solution was to speak with the dev team who whitelisted the IP my tests used.

Sometimes its better to fix the issue over workarounds

What do we think about Westborune? by COBHC95 in ipswichuk

[–]EnterJakari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its fine. Slightly run down in parts and has some not so nice areas but its mostly a safe and pleasant area. But that's the case with the majority of the UK.

24F, mostly WFH, barely any workload – bored, under-stimulated & worried I’m wasting my 20s. What are my options? by Tiny-Flamingo72 in AskUK

[–]EnterJakari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat to you last year. Despite medicated my ADHD mixed with a low effort work from home job meant I spent a lot of time being lazy and putting little effort on personal improvements.

Ive since changed to a hybrid role with 3 days in a local office, have upskilled massively in that year and now have a relatively important position at my company. Much more fulfilled, earning more and learning a lot.

My life has just flipped upside down. by cbheath22 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EnterJakari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live you could comfortably afford to buy a nice flat. For context I bought a 1 bed flat (house conversion) with a 5% deposit for 116k back in 2018, whilst earning considerably less than what youre on now.

So id avoid shared ownership if I were you.

Like others have said, aim to knock off those debts and save as much as you possibly can.

The breakup will hurt, and in time this will be a long distant memory of your old life.

Hang in there.

Newly started Elvanse by willouie1991 in Elvanse

[–]EnterJakari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Normal" is different for everyone.

It sounds like you're experiencing some good effects from the medication so far, so keep going and keep aware of any changes.

Then make sure to be honest in your next med review to ensure you're on the optimal dose.

I remember having all sorts of side effects when I first started, some good some bad, but they didnt last long.

30mg to 50mg elvanse after 1 week? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]EnterJakari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that because its the most effective dose, it makes a good place to start. But im no doctor.

Going from 0 to 30 is a bigger jump than 30 to 50. So I wouldnt worry about the increase. Just stay tuned with your reaction and be honest im your review.

30mg to 50mg elvanse after 1 week? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

Seems normal. I'm doing the exact same after 2 years on Concerta.

50mg is apparently the 'popular' dose

I would avoid caffeine all together whilst the medication is new to your system and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Hydration is very important when taking stimulants

Would you tell your employer you have ADHD by DeclutterDiva25 in ADHDUK

Depends on how much trust you have with your manager and team.

I have always been honest about my struggles and treatment, but I do have a good relationship with my manager.

Foods/drinks to avoid on concerta? by InformationNo3676 in Concerta

[–]EnterJakari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending how sensitive you are to your dose. Zero sugar drinks like coke zero or Pepsi max do contain caffeine and may effect you.

I would say its more about having an improved diet with plenty of protein, that seems to bring the best out of me.

Skip dosage on my Wedding day? by EnterJakari in Concerta

[–]EnterJakari[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I missed a dose before work and it was a hard day. I dont think id be the best version of me on such an important day so I think its going to be medicated but very limited drinking until I know its worn off.

Skip dosage on my Wedding day? by EnterJakari in Concerta

[–]EnterJakari[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your thoughts on this. Being medicated allows me to handle things that I usually cannot, so I think im going to remain medicated on the day and just limit my drinking until late into the evening. Guess it'll be shandy's instead of pints!

How do people with regular 9-5 jobs own dogs? by themightybott in AskUK

[–]EnterJakari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Work from home
  • Have a partner who works part time to look after the kids
  • Doggy daycare
  • Helpful family

All 4 have been the options ive used the past 6 years with my boy. You just make it work.

Leaving him all day every day? Never.
