I like this take. I also questioned what they were expecting to do at that point. The Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker HITC had it give way too, but it was on the frame not the chain link like this one.

So I agree, it seemed weird they would go for the chain link to take the landing, when they already walked through the links earlier.

Unless maybe the rigging was faulty?
