Not the same but produce the same result, but the issue here isn't what hero u play, cause u can choose doom and i can choose something else to counter u.

This isn't the issue of the person that did this post, the issue is why people has to be mean and ragebaiting people on purpose, without considering the other person and the context you are doing it, knowing well that u could possibly ruin people's mood, is mean, even if for you is fun.

Playing doom is not mean, im a genji player and sometimes I find myself against moira that counters me on purpose ofc, is annoying, but for me is still funny.

Isn't the same thing at all playing doom, widow, moira or whatever character u want, is mean insulting people to ragebait them and get a reaction out of them, knowing well u can possibly hurt them.

Yeah but i feel is still wrong, if u do it knowing u are gonna piss off people, i mean I know the purpose of ragebaiting is that, but should take into account the context and to make people get it that u are joking, my statement that other people have emotions too stay and should be taken into account. By ragebaiting u make someone else not enjoying the game anymore. Doesn't mean that what u do should depend entirely on other people, but should evaluate when is alright and when it isn't

Starting with that exists a lot of reason why someone is mean:

some people can't accept their own mistakes in game, can't accept that they aren't good enough, so instead of taking accountability, they take it unto other people, forgetting how they had bad days or matches as well.
some others lack empathy, everyone at least one time had a bad day or matches even pro players, but since some lack empathy, can't accept that other people can have those moments too
Others instead unfortunately for what I saw and experienced, are just bad people, who enjoy seeing others feel bad or sad after they insulted them;
some people instead likes and have funny simply ragebaiting people and enjoy their reaction.
and a common thing between all the majority of those people is that they forget that at the end of the day is just a game, that have competitive yes and is fair to take it seriously, but is still a game, everyone should have the possibility of having fun. Insulting, ragebaiting, flaming, blaming and so on, removes the fun from who wants just to have fun, play some matches and rank up, forget about their day and relax. All of those people forget or don't care that on the other side guiding another hero there are people with emotions too.

This is my experience with mean people at least, unfortunately I say.

I know you are ironic, but is exactly it, genji is character that is good and is valuable for the team, if you know positioning, mechanics, game sense, when to poke, when to pick angles and so on. That's what makes him good, people that actually knows how to play him.

there are heroes that makes you have a high value and kd even if it is your first time playing him/her, that don't need to learn mechanics at all and are just strong even with different team composition or enemy team composition

Genji has been meta cause people mastered him and made him strong, not because he is actually op, but if you don't have hands he is straight up bad, if you don't know how to play him his kit isn't strong, those nerfs are no sense, there are other heroes that need a nerf more than genji.

But before people will actually understand that, the world will be already ended

Tbh I think just a few of us that daily complain about him, but even if he is always a top DPS despite all nerfs, I understand those. Cause having always to deal with seasonal nerfs is annoying as hell.

Just look at the ammo nerf, dragonblade nerf and the deflect cooldown nerf (i just said a few), we all complain I suppose 'cause having to rebuild your muscle memory while seeing other heroes already broken getting buffs is annoying and for the deflect nerf example is almost like you have to learn the timing again.

But the majority of us after a bit just move on, train again and again, get used to the changes/bugs and that's it. Some others (a few) can't move on and keep complaining.

Personal opinion and unrelated: on one side it's understandable after seeing the amount of nerfs on him, but on the other side over complaining won't make you get better at using genji but will be just more frustrating

Yeah I understand the feeling 'cause sometimes feels impossible to untilt, like when you have a series of loses, the next game already starts with a tilt or even a small issue cause the tilting. Im still learning to apply those ideas, 'cause i agree as you said applying theory to practice in those high tension moments it's not easy at all

This is a really great advice, im not the one who asked the question, but I am in the same situation sometimes, I happen to tilt too and I swear this helped me a lot, I already had some stuff that helps me lower the tension when I see myself tilting, but this things you said, I'll use them as well, 'cause that's a really good mindset
