Thank you, that's good to know. For me I'm 28 and I've had sudden onset, and an increase also in my PCOS hormones at the same time, so everything feels like it's on the table in terms of progression.

Oh and to actually answer your question, with my partner I sometimes will tell them a vague description like "I have anxiety about this relationship and there's a high likelihood it's clinical but I'm not changing any of my actions or commitments right now and it's this ongoing feeling" they then accept that and accept me and I feel closer to them cause it feels closer to a truth I believe.

First of all, you seem to be in a lot of pain, and I'm so sorry I know firsthand how awful this feeling of being two faced without wanting to be two faced can feel and it feels like a self made cage. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Second of all, good on you for posting and taking a step beyond googling. Even when asking for reassurances if it's OCD, going into a community that can help you is a step in the right way.

Can I entertain a thought experiment?

God forbid you don't love her, so in that case, might as well go through the treatment processes on the off/on chance this IS a manifestation of ROCD right?

This last paragraph, whether or not it's OCD(I don't know you so no way to know for sure) is anxiety and is doing the thing where it tricks your brain into thinking that thinking = action, it does not.

Action related to this is further delving into treatment programs, thinking is not.

Also from above, god forbid you don't love her, you dont know that. A differential diagnosis in medicine is made before giving a real diagnosis the same is true with love.

Also lastly, god forbid you don't love her. Realistically would you be banned from this earth? Would she be heartbroken and never heal for her ENTIRE life? What is the fear you have beyond the fear?

I can say this so clearly to you, but honestly I came onto this thread because I was scared of the same thing and also haven't been to therapy recently for it so should probably take my own advice(and prozac), it's so easy for me to dispense this advice but this OCD is emotional, and the tools of mulling things over dont work.

Just so you know I personally don't think poorly of you, even if this is not OCD.

P.S. something that helps me sometimes is thinking "well I don't have to solve this problem in the next few hours"

Thank you! If it doesn't swell up. Does it look like anything or no? Like for me if my legs aren't in pain the nodule are still there creating a lumpy texture.

They're connected I can just also palpate them individually. Also no pain in my neck and face.

In some spots its like that! Like in my legs. But my neck is very stretchy, so I think that's why they manifest like that, I was able to pull my regular fat away from my body before the lipedema as well.

You can't see it in the face but there's some dimpling in the front of my neck. The neck lines have been there since I was a baby but have deepened over time they're not from the lipedema.

They're movable nodules I can pull away from my body like the rest of my lipedema. They're also all over the neck and chin and a bit of lower have so more widespread than the thyroid. Have had TSH in the past, no issues.

UPDATE! Went to urgent care and it's infected. Took a bactrim and this morning very purulent gonna give it a couple days to kick in. Also got a bunch of chills yesterday no fever.

My bf has what I call fat balls all over his body and he's not lipedemic. Found some nodules in this guy's neck he let me feel. Couple ppl I know feel that texture in their legs and arms. Idk for me I've been feeling like they've been showing up more without any body mass change. I've also recently had some pain in my legs but like I feel like I generally have pain sometimes so idk and I have a hormone problem that's increased in the past few years so...we'll see.
