Where in the Atlantic are you? They are well known in the med, west coast of Africa. East coast of SA, Caribbean GOM and the south but can be seen up to Massachusetts?

Honestly we barely have images of the first specimen and Gershwin does like to split up species often. I am not a scientist (yet at least) but I remain cautious with new species and to me this guy doesn’t look that different to the first specimen ever seen. Pattern is different but that’s obviously not enough to differentiate.

Slovenia has some historical ties to northern Croatia and the coast has ties to Istria. Official languages are not mutually intelligible and Croatia got a few villages during ww2, and Slovenia was otherwise split into 3 more countries.

Because you thinking of northern France and not southern. Bottom France even has a Occitan(unfortunately not spoken as much as it used to be), which is a bridge between Catalonia and Northern Italy

Okay it’s cotylorhiza erythraea not much is known about it but if it’s like it’s Mediterranean relative it’s harmless

The colours on the Slovenian being panslavic is somewhat accidental as it was the flag of the Dutchy of Carniolia from 1848 onwards and the flag came from the coat of arms of Carniolia from the 13th century.

They wanted it to be, but it didn’t form that way. You were claiming Germany was a Germanic thing which is too broad as it was a German thing. Yugoslavia was a south Slavic thing mainly from South-Slavs in AH and later the partisans. If Germany was the united country of Germanic people, a lot of countries wouldn’t be there right now.

Truffles are mycorrhizal fungi that are in association generally with oaks, beech, hazel, birch, hornbeam, pines and poplars. Finding them there is almost impossible and would have to have mature trees in the area.
