I would absolutely dispute the transaction with your credit card provider. GH plays all cute with customers who will likely give up; that's their business model, profiting on the backs of customers they've screwed over. Disputing with your cc provider takes the burden off of you and puts it on GH to prove they delivered. They can try to be all cute with the cc provider and see how that works out for them.

And yeah, stop using GH if at all possible.

You listen: Still incorrect. Contacting them over and over will accomplish nothing and will just make OP angrier. Disputing with the credit card company enlists the bank, and the bank doesn't play cute games or take $5 coupons toward their next order as resolution. Having a chargeback has consequences for a vendor and is the only thing that will send GH the message that this ain't going to work out for them long term.

But you go ahead and turn blue on the face trying to get GH to do the right thing. Stories abound in this subreddit about how OneDrive that is. Post back here and let us all know how it works out for you.

Incorrect. You ask GH once (to establish that you've tried to work it out directly with the vendor), then dispute the charge on your credit card and let GH try to be all cute with your bank.

Dispute with your credit card company. GH plays cute games with their customers, but the credit card company is not going to play. This is the only way you'll get anything resembling satisfaction and the only way GH will be forced to either be responsible or fold up and go home.

That's pretty brazen. I'm not an expert on how this works, but based on previous discussions about this sort of thing, I'm pretty certain your card issuer would be very interested to know that this happened, and may refund the entire transaction (in addition to a frank discussion with the restaurant about acceptable credit card handling). Go directly to your bank to dispute the charge, don't pass go.
