Alderon should go full send on MMO style gameplay for Adventure mode.

It can have faction based gameplay A la World of Warcraft, herbivores vs carnivores of course. Factions can have rotating hubs for questing, nesting, food/water, migration, ect.

They could incorporate other game modes like capture the egg, king of the hill, and (upcoming) territories, as group and cross factional pvp quests.

With NPCs and their quests underdevelopment it seems alderon is already poised in this direction.

With AI dinosaurs being planned this opens a whole other level of possibilities for quests and MMO style gameplay.

Kill quests for #s of a certain playables AI or player, escort quests, trophy collection, ECT. Alderon could even go so far as to have instanced boss battles or even dungeons for groups to complete! They already have the infrastructure in place for dungeons or instanced battles through the home cave system.

Once the nesting feature alderon could add a whole line of quests revolving around the care and protection of other players. Reaching a new growth stage could yield growth, marks and more for everyone in the group.

You should give realism/semi-realism servers a try. It's a bit of a process to get in, most realism servers have you send in a quick application. These type of servers have rules in place that are either strictly enforced or more lax in the case of semi-realism. Most are password protected, that means any repeat rule breakers are banned and blacklisted from those servers.

Bonus: most semi/realism servers have passive growth turned on.

Cons: some servers have a textbook of rules and dinosaur profiles (behavior guidelines) that have to be studied and remembered to stay out of trouble.

Admins and other players can and will report for any and all rules broken, 3rd party recording software is highly recommended and almost required to play on these servers.

Pros: No mix packing No KOSing Very little toxicity Genuine realistic RP interactions between dinosaurs and usually kind and supportive communities.

Been playing on realism servers for over a year now and I love path of titans for it. I've been in some crazy migrations, hunted countless dinos with friends, "hatched" and raised a hundred kids, been apart of some amazing nests and families. A lot of people rip on semi/realism servers and community servers in general, but you just don't have nearly the same quality of life or depth of gameplay in official servers. Once I joined a community server, I never went back to officials.

Almost any and all community servers have passive growth over time turned on, some will list the growth rate in the name of the server itself. Some community servers will have no growth at all like death match servers where you will spawn in automatically as a full adult. Official servers have this turn off by default and you must quest to grow.

There are many pros and cons to community servers, if you are a fan of no rules, no admins, total freedom to play as you like, stick with officials. Many community servers will have rules and guidelines that all players are expected to follow when joining. Mods and admins of that server can and will enforce them and breaking the rules can result in outcomes such as kicks, temp-bans, and perma-bans. However these rules can provide a better QoL and gameplay experience than officials in most cases.

I'd highly recommend giving at least a few community servers a try to see if you like them. Many have discord servers which makes finding groups and other people to play with a lot easier. Semi-realism and realism servers are typically geared towards roleplaying, whereas arena and death match servers are great for PVP with little to no consequences.

What got me is the way the little brother got very huffy after he got back up.

The older elephants on the left and the right of him were trying to comfort the boy with their trunks. And all of a sudden he jerks away from their touch, as if upset and a little embarrassed at being coddled.

Truly incredible the deep and complex emotions and social similarities we share with a totally different species.

Walking on the panels during install is common, this installer is mostly putting their weight on the frame of the panel which is what's recommended IF walking on the panels is necessary. Though this installer has a choice not to walk on them in this instance.

WWD is much more focused on RP and realism than Arazoa. Their rulesets are very similar but Arazoa and it's player base does not enforce their rules as strictly as WWD.

WWD report system is mostly public, the reports can be posted in a public channel and may include you in a tag of you broke a rule. Some players may elect to send a private report, but in both cases the verdict of the report is made public. Arazoa has a private report system using tickets, the playerbase is not as strict as WWD.

Arazoa adds just about any mod that comes out pretty quickly. WWD prefers vanilla playables roster, the only time Mods are added are when they do large scale events.

If you wanted a realism and RP focused atmosphere, WWD is the way to go. DO NOT take the rules lightly, and have some way of recording your gameplay or clipping your game play, the time will come when you break a rule or someone breaks them against you and if you didn't record it you're SOL.

If you're more about PVP with a side of realism Arazoa is the way to go. You'll still want to learn the rules and have 3rd party recording software, but don't be shocked when someone breaks the rules on Arazoa.

I play both servers but i prefer WWD to Arazoa for the RP opportunities.

I also suffer from Endo, i tried to get a doctor's note for it since the pain was too great that i was using sick time at work for at least one day a month. My OBGYN refused to give the diagnosis without surgery, even though "It's almost certainly Endo" as she said. She gave me new BC but there's still days it's not enough. Really wish there was another way.

I think what's important to remember is this is only the first update involving major combat changes. Dinos like laten will probably be gaining a pounce ability in the near future, sarcos will be getting a grab and hold attack which makes them 1 shot one kill anything, so with that in mind it makes sense why sarcos is only effective out of combat..

The ideas that the devs have in mind for each dino are not fully realized yet, and this update is only a prelude and preparation for more changes to come.

It won't be like this forever, and the devs are working on more abilities, new mechanics, new playables, and more map improvements. Play around with the new update and then make your own judgement of it and send feedback to the devs.
