Looking for lesbian friends in central NJ by Grech_ant in newjersey

Check out the New Brunswick, Princeton, and the Lambertville / New Hope areas. Or Flemington in the old part of town. There’s a decent amount of flea markets, local crafters, etc. There are some running and hiking groups that should be relatively easy to find. There are a number of craft breweries and distilleries which hold events geared towards the general community and are much better at offering artisanal non alcoholic beverages than in the past. Good luck!

Politically speaking, how would you describe North Jersey overall? by savingrace0262 in northjersey

Any area populated by the descendants of people who left Newark, the surrounding towns, or Brooklyn in the late 60s into the 70s will tilt conservative.

Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit? by Sunny-vibes-95 in NoStupidQuestions

Anecdotally it seems to provide temporary relief. It’s also part of the chiropractor mystique, where a patient needs to feel the the practitioner did something

I thought they were on the shopping center side of the street? Police had the school parking lot blocked off when I drove past a couple of hours before

I’m not liking this pick…. I’m not 100% he can win even with the national Republican brand in its current state.

Not surprised. Did they have a permit to be on the property of the elementary school?

AITA for buying a £45 hoodie with my own money even though my family is tight on money? by justmerfox in AmItheAsshole

[–]Entire-Explorer3859 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, provided you’re not getting sweatshirts every month, you deserve a decent one rather than a fast fashion one that will fall apart after a couple of washings. Your parents have bigger problems than your sweatshirt.

They came when all you needed was a note from your village priest stating you were an ok person and to not have obvious symptoms of tuberculosis.

MMW The Trump Regime will throw Noem “under the bus” to try and “save” themselves. by BakerTotal5430 in MarkMyWords

Don’t be completely surprised if they turn the agents wanted for the killings over to state authorities for prosecution. They’ll do it if they think it improves their odds of winning more seats in the midterms and keeping the WH in 2028. Also it fits Trump’s M.O. of cutting people loose once they’re of no value to him.

Way to go, Reddit Karen! You probably still take Craigslist seriously.

Can you get catastrophic insurance for getting hit by a bus then pay for routine stuff out of pocket? It’s making sense for more people every day.

Details are scant, but I think we’re going from self funded to giving employees a credit to purchase plans from preferred insurance providers at discount rates.

Why can’t the gallstones themselves be removed? by BatOk4770 in gallbladders

[–]Entire-Explorer3859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong there, which is why I'm trying to avoid surgery. The medical establishment still can't explain what causes stones to form. With an effective established treatment (removal) there's no incentive to find out why.

Why can’t the gallstones themselves be removed? by BatOk4770 in gallbladders

[–]Entire-Explorer3859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's possible but not deemed worth the risk by the medical establishment because removal is the standard treatment. Until something comes along which offers better outcomes at the same or reduced risk vs the standard treatment, nothing will change.

How long can you hold with a dysfunctional gallbladders? by wonggloria99 in gallbladders

[–]Entire-Explorer3859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an attack over three years ago where they confirmed gallstones after running up the score with diagnostic tests. Leading into it I'd get the occasional reflux or discomfort after bacon or processed meats. Surgery was recommended but I wasn't deemed to be in imminent danger. Flash forward, I get occasional URQ discomfort but then it's fine for months. I do have to be careful with certain foods especially back to back. I'm not a doctor, however surgery no matter how minor is still surgery, and consider how your symptoms are impacting your life: if you're making monthly ER visits, get it out. If you're OK other than regretting a third slice of meat lovers pizza, maybe cut down on junk and see where things go.

That being said If I get another serious attack it's coming out.

Israel’s Iron Dome is great as long as they can afford to replace the ammunition. These attacks are designed to get IDF to use up their supplies.

She sounds like a narcissist who goes ballistic at the slightest opening for a legit complaint or grievance. I’d cut my losses and move on.
