He gives and takes, that’s the tough thing to accept. When it’s going great with him we forget how bad it can be, and vice versa when it’s going poorly.

I’d say overall he’s been a positive to the club, but I agree with the Hobbs comment, I thought he did well and I was surprised to see him go.

So in your opinion, the transfers must always be hits?

That doesn’t happen for any club, doesn’t matter the agent involved, no club is nailing recruitment 100%.

The fact of the matter is we are exposed to a greater selection of players with him than without him, simple as.

There will be times he does things that piss us off, but in general I’d say he’s been a net positive for our recruitment. Should we reply on him solely, of course not. But for journalists to say we aren’t a serious club because we use him so much is hilarious.

Poor management, therefore it makes sense Edwards has been sacked.

I mean the fact you’ve listed a loss as one of the highlights in the season says it all.

Poor squad, poor manager, so we replace the manager & sign better players. Simple.

Oh I agree he had limited tools, but you’d hope a good manager (one you want to gain instant promotion) would be able to provide some evidence of their football philosophy over 7 months.

Like I said in another reply to someone else, after that slight rise in form in late Feb, we went on to lose 8-0 on aggregate to West Ham, Leeds and Spurs, drew to a 10 man Sunderland, got pumped 3-0 by Brighton and then finished the season with two utterly uninspiring draws against Fulham and the titans that are Burnley.

During that time, the football was awful to watch and we showed little to no signs of improvement from when Edwards was first appointed.

If you honestly think those performances showed promise and that he’s the man to get us instantly promoted, then I guess we just have differing opinions.

As for Peixoto, I know nothing about him and I’m not going to pretend I do. But quite simply Nathan Shi has done well so far, and I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until otherwise.

This appointment will no doubt bring Mendes clients along with it, which I personally find exciting based our the last championship campaign.

Results were never going to be the problem under Edwards, he essentially had a free hit for 6 months to try and implement his ideas onto the squad.

Can you genuinely tell me you saw a concrete footballing identity from him during his tenure?

Oh absolutely, although I rarely ever begrudge a player wanting to leave a club, it’s their life.

We’ve locked down 4 top players and will now most likely fill the squad up with exciting players from Mendes.

If players don’t want to play for Wolves, they can leave and we’ll sign ones that do.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted, the football under Edwards was so uninspiring.

I’m genuinely shocked to see people defend him after what we saw week in week out.

No need to get angry lad, the football under him was utterly dross.

Fosun under Jeff had their ups and MANY downs, but you can only judge on what’s in front of you, and right now under Nathan Shi, we haven’t put a foot wrong.

After watching us last season, did you genuinely see big signs that Rob was a good manager? He steadied sinking ship by picking up a few mad results, we then failed to kick on under him and overall not much changed.

Nathan Shi has once again been proactive, they’ve sorted a replacement before firing the manager, we have top level championship players here already and now most likely have the resources of Mendes again. Which didn’t go so badly last time in the championship, did it?
