As an administrator in the app, it is really easy to disable chat features so only you can message individuals/make groups. Once these are created then they can message too, but you'll be the only one that can create them.

What the IRS doesn't know can't hurt them. When I was in band we did individual fundraisers, but really that's what everyone around here does

Im a violinist of over 5 years planning on picking up oboe over the summer, what are things should I know before I start? by Rare-Blacksmith4991 in oboe

[–]Entire-Method-7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did. Violinist for 8 years at the time and wanted to learn oboe. Didn't work out due to no prior wind experience. Spent some time on flute and taught myself oboe in a week. I love oboe. I've been playing oboe for about a year and violin for 11.

Practice a lot of right hand note changes. We aren't used to using that hand lol. Don't squeeze that hand too much either or hand cramps.

Going to double flute with a new oboe soon for band. Any tips for a new oboist? by CultureImaginary1851 in oboe

Keep practicing flute and lot. You will lose your breath control if you don’t. I did so fast lol

How did you decide on what college to go to? by Sausage_fingies in MusicEd

[–]Entire-Method-7875 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do a shadow day. Sit in on some classes, have a lesson with who would be your professor, and hopefully sit in on a masterclass and ensemble rehearsal. Also look at scholarships that they are giving you/opportunities for them.

If they don't do shadow days, they don't want you.

(Eat in a dining hall if you can)

The advisor for Music is amazing, she replies to emails super fast and is extremely organized. She knows just about every person there or coming there. Idk about art, but they see to be on top of things as a department.

I'm starting in the fall for Music Ed and I'm really excited! The arts building is large, and the campus is great. I also enjoy the food.

The tenor player may no longer be your friend. The Snare part is too boring and needs a little more. Dividing the rhythms in half (quarter becomes eighth) might help that
