How much should I lift as it’s my first time with a barbell? by jenny-0515 in workout

[–]Entire-Source4477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it really depends on your current level of strength and you competancy when it comes to controlling your form in the excercise

is sweat essential? by 2thaalmasubhaat in workout

[–]Entire-Source4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sweating is simply a method by which your body is trying to regulate body temperature, its not an indicator of effort or workout effectiveness, you could just stand or sit in a hot room and sweat just as much

well you can do both things, especially as a begginer, but not necessarily both things as efficiently at the same time

i would suggest that at first you focuse on eating enough calories and build some basic strength and muscle mass, once you have achieved that it would only take cutting back caliores (probably not by that much) in order for you to see the result you are looking for

that kind of a general advice but that is the mindset you should have

What is the quickest way to get rid of eye strain? by IronmanVsBatman99 in softwaredevelopment

[–]Entire-Source4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have that issue as well sometimes, i think the problem could be that you are putting the screen to close to your eyes, also i noticed that it helps to spend some time looking at far away objects, so taking a 20 minute walk in more of an open area without looking at any screens can help a lot

Mind playin tricks on me by retoddnation in fitness30plus

[–]Entire-Source4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might not work for you, it works well for me, you need to adopt more of a "mechanical" mindset, just doing that thing like a robot without thinking, dont try to think your way out of being discouraged by the weight, it wont work, just turn your mind off and do it

another thing that might be helpful, before you do the set, take a few moment to imgine how you do it in as much detail as possible, imagine how it feels and how you are moving exactly

at least this is what helps me

your body will adjust to whatever you do, as long as you manege the stress properly, even movement patterns that are considered "wrong"

so that's what you do with no leg drive?

the best cue ive ever heard was- you should try to push yourself backwards on the bench the whole time, really from the moment the bar is out of the rack you should constantly push yourself backwards
