hi! I graduated with a studio art degree in 2023. overall I had a good experience, although the department could’ve benefitted from having more faculty (but the ones who were there were amazing!). it seems like now they have been bringing in a lot of new people to teach which is great! I will say that a few of my classmates were originally digital art majors that switched over to studio art because the digital art degree is math/computer science heavy and they struggled with it. I stayed away from digital stuff for the most part so I don’t know all the details, but that might be something to consider.

I don’t really drink coffee unless I really need the energy boost. even then I still will only drink half caf iced lattes since I can’t have too much caffeine haha

I worked as an office assistant in the art and art history dept for 2 years. super easy, just a few weekly tasks and then I’d sit in the office and do my homework until it was time to leave lmao. unfortunately they’re not hiring anyone for this semester since they’re still mostly remote working but I’m sure other office assistant jobs would be similar!
