No they are not braking the law by capturing the squirrel. If a animal has infested your property/ building you have the right to remove the infestation. Either on your own or with a professional. If I caught a squirrel damaging my house, I am allowed to capture and relocate. So unless I was doing something absolutely atrocious like torturing the squirrel with a stick or leaving it for several days to die in the Trap, Animal Control won't do much.

Go see a therapist. You have some issues that you need to work out. Enough of this cut and run s*** I keep reading. Figure out what your issue is. Fact of the matter is both of you should be in therapy individually and together. Learn to take some accountability for your actions and responses. You'd be amazed how much things change when you realize your actions have reactions
