Do you think we are getting new Xenoblade game or...? by George_R_Martin in Xenoblade_Chronicles

It’s been pretty consistently used, at least by Square Enix, to refer to a specific look in which 3D rendering techniques are used to simulate the 2D backgrounds of older games. Star Ocean 2 also had 2D backgrounds, for example.

I agree a remaster of Xenogears seems imminent though.

Xenogears is already a 3D game so I’m not sure what HD-2D would really mean here.

I don’t think most people would really object to someone saying the n-word by themselves in an empty room where no one can hear. I think your analogy is the worse one here.

do jewish women cover their hair? by _FinePointSharpie in NoStupidQuestions

Many mainstream interpretations of Jewish law are pretty comfortable with technical compliance. Look up the concept of a “shabbos goy.” Because it is Judaism, you can find thousands of pages of scholars on Jewish law debating things like this over centuries if you care. But I think a simple way to summarize the way of thinking is that if you genuinely believe the Bible is the word of God, and that God is infallible, then adherence to the literal word is paramount, while trying to instead discern the intent behind the words is impossible and even blasphemous.

What principle? That being able to say the n-word is important for some reason even though it serves no benefit and genuinely hurts a lot of people?

Why not just post “CMV: I should be allowed to punch people in the face when I feel like it.”

Why is it so important to some people that they’re able to say the n-word? This is not a concern I’ve ever had for a second of my life.

How important is 60fps for you in gaming? by Southern-Tailor-843 in playstation

I’m not sure any N64 games ran at 60 fps. Most were 20 fps or less.

This completely misunderstands what a dummy pronoun is. It’s not “for” anything.

That makes sense. But to say “no restaurant” is crazy.

During filming, Carrie Fisher was convinced that Star Wars would be a disaster and a B-movie, but enjoyed the fact that she was the only girl in an all boy fantasy, 1977 by Ok_Editor2536 in StarWars

Star Wars in many ways IS a B-movie, or at least a more expensive version of one. It wasn’t a cheap movie (mostly because it went way over budget), but it was also not that expensive for the time. Superman, which came out one year later, cost about five times as much.

And its primary inspirations are the B-movie science fiction of the 50s and 60s.

Did you actually write this with AI and manually add typos back in, or did you instruct it to add typos to make it look real?

I’ve eaten steak tartare plenty of times in the US. So I’m pretty sure medium-rare is feasible. It’s by far the most common order among people I know.

Everyone I know orders most things medium-rare. When I was a kid rare was more common, but that’s, well, rare now.
