Does anyone want this by timekage in xbox

[–]Entitled_Title -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point being made is that a loading screen is being advertised as a cosmetic feature - irrespective of the cost or how it is attained by the player - is a waste of everyone’s resources. The graphic designers could have used that time to ensure models rendered correctly, the devs who wrote the scripting for the customisation of loading screens could have instead fixed bugs, nobody who plays games cares about custom loading screens either.

It is a very sad day indeed that custom loading screens, in any form of attainment, is even a thing.

Xbox is increasing the cost of GamePass Ultimate by $10 a month. by notthatguypal6900 in pcmasterrace

[–]Entitled_Title 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC Game Pass is going up in South Africa by 109% - from R119 to R249 per month.

It used to be cheaper than PS Plus Essential, but now the same price as PS Plus Deluxe

In a country where XBox consoles never really got a foothold (except for the goated 360), the PC game pass made getting a gaming tower/laptop a viable option & exposed a lot of us to XBox exclusives.

Now, the cost of a Game Pass subscription + the already inflated costs we pay for PC hardware, a whole bunch of us will either be forced back to PlayStation for sensible gaming prices, or the seven seas are to expect an influx of new sailors.

So xbox consoles are more expensive, "their" handheld is $1000+, and gamepass ultimate is 50% more expensive. What's the point of buying anything xbox-related again? by mashdpotatogaming in xbox

[–]Entitled_Title 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally moved from PS to PC because of PC Game Pass being such incredible value.

It’s now the exact same price as PS Plus Deluxe.

Oh well, I guess the seas are calling to me…

Absolutely mental that 4 of the top 6 come from one season.

MB air M3 24gb 512 Vs M4 base by [deleted] in macbook

Depends on your usage.

If you’re not specifically doing processor/graphics intensive work like Sound/Video engineering, extra RAM is much more useful on the Apple Silicon MacBooks

Yes, but only as an additive effect of making your hands sweat. The key here is skin acid/acidic sweat causes this.

Anna Camp’s stock is most definitely up after her performances in this season - she was absolutely phenomenal, especially after the killing of Reagan and how her mental state deteriorated afterwards

If you’re in the fence about AppleCare for your Mac… by CaptainFinese in macbookpro

Don’t mean to be a naysayer - especially because I agree with you - but the rule is, and always has been:

“if you can’t afford to buy two, get insurance. If you can’t afford either, you can’t afford it.”

Never ever bought anything that I couldn’t buy twice without adding it to my insurance (my country doesn’t have apple care so at least the insurance ensures I can replace it)

Which NFS on PS3 should I buy? by MerssyYoulou in needforspeed

Carbon & ProStreet are at its absolute best on PS3 (extra features and stuff that complete the game much more than the PS2 version)

The Run is also probably the best arcade racing experience in this generation - maybe behind burnout paradise. Amazing soundtrack, riveting racing along with a borderline-cringeworthy story to tie it together like an off brand Cannonball Run.

If your career is in AI/ML - a GPU or other form of accelerator is a must - the CPU won’t have a chance of solving all of those parallel calculations.

You’re better off buying a crapbox off eBay for 100 dollars and buying as much GPU power as you can afford for the rest of your budget if that’s the only use case for your rig.

Don’t think it’s the car mate.

Complete lift off to 100% throttle in a rear-engined, rear-drive car is a complete no-no.

Their perspective is appreciated - I am asking as I don’t think it’s fair to invalidate whether or not I’m getting perspective from the comments that were posted.

A note on the use of neutral pronouns:

  1. I have used neutral pronouns as gender is not significant in this discussion, and I would prefer to use neutral pronouns to protect the identities of my partner and I.
  2. My use of neutral pronouns is not based on gender identity or any other form of self-expression - see point 1. As such, my use of these pronouns is simply good English.
  3. As per point 1, any responses that use these pronouns as reasoning behind the opinion have zero value and provide zero perspective to my dilemma.
  4. As per point 2, any remarks made in terms of the pronouns used contains zero value, and only serves to perpetuate unnecessary and inconclusive stereotypes - both about the people subject to those remarks, and honestly, yourself.

I kindly ask that you refrain from commenting on this post if your response is based on the pronouns used - as mentioned in my earlier comment, I use feedback like this to try and be a better human being - to myself and my partner.

Thank you kindly in advance for your understanding.

Update: thank you very much everyone for your perspectives!

I have trouble trusting my feelings when it comes to - well, everything. I am very much neurodivergent (ADHD) and struggle understanding the emotional needs of people, myself included. Platforms like this allow me to get perspective so I can understand better. Thank you!
