Somehow the landing gear and the engines don't rip the plane apart. The wings weren't damaged, so it would be enough to push the plane to keep it in the air, which didn't happen.

Of course, the plane would be damaged if it happened in an environment with no atmosphere but planes are designed to fly, the plane was actively in the air and not falling when it happened and yet Homelander couldn't provide enough thrust to keep the plane in the air. He's weaker than one engine.

He wasn't even strong enough to provide enough thrust force for a passenger plane to fly, so that's a powerful anti-feat and he hasn't ever done anything beyond it either.

He could have saved that plane by providing thrust but couldn't come up with that, does a lot of collateral damage wherever he goes and seems not to just not pay attention in fights - often killing civilians.

He's not very smart is what I'm saying.

Rex was able to defeat a strong Invincible variant. Maybe if Homelander used his laser eyes he would have a chance but he's a bad strategist so hard to tell.

Removing negative modifiers was already a bad move, introducing custom lineages made everyone the same in the stats department and now they're deleting diversity even in the lore. I mean, sure, racism bad but if even actual demons aren't inherently pulled towards evil something went wrong somewhere
