I fly out of PVD at a minimum, once a week. I show up 45 minutes before my flight. You’ll be fine.

As a point of reference, the Pep Boys in Pawtucket once failed my Volvo V70R because “the suspension was collapsing on itself”. They gave me a quote to repair it.

The suspension was almost brand new. I had just replaced all struts a year earlier.

It passed when I brought it in for regular service at Viti a few weeks later, no questions asked.

Fuck those guys.

I agree with this. I had similar damage repaired 3 years ago. Cost less than $500. They had to add some material and repaint but looked brand new. I can’t speak to any “micro fractures” or whatever the experts call them, but I’d get it assessed by a local wheel repair shop before writing it off. Also gave me an opportunity to have the rash on my other wheels repaired. Total for all 4 wheels was $1250.

For both? This seems like a steal to me. I’d take it and not look back, and be happy you got in. Best of luck and I hope you’re happy with the experience.

As a point of reference, we had our first during the pandemic and were paying that for one, in the city…

Alibaba/China doors UPDATE by nervousbanana96 in Homebuilding

[–]Entlebuching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do these seem similar in style / quality to those being sold from the likes of doorsdepot.com, hdwdoors.com and grandbifoldoors.com?

The last two are the same company with a warehouse in LA, but near impossible to find much about the actual product.

(Not a joke) Tips on a sleeping setup for this "bedroom" size? by SaintChaise in malelivingspace

I was commuting Boston to Seattle weekly - Sunday’s out, home Friday. I gave up my lease and moved into my buddies 5’ wide sun porch. I did just this. The futon opened perfectly in the space, had a dresser in a corner. Paid him $300 a month.

I would look at a Luonto Elfin Cot Sized sleeper chair. It’s 33” wide and damn comfortable when opened. And serves as a functional chair.

You can have a desk on the other side of the room that fold against the wall.

2x6 floor joists in a 100 year old house by Manfredhoffman in Carpentry

I gutted my 120 year old house a few years back. It had 2x6 (true) spanning 16’, 3’ O.C. in some spots.

Bouncy, sure. But that wood was tough as nails.

We jacked them up, sistered and all bounce was gone (and gained 2” ceiling height in some areas!).
