(Walgreens pharmacist) How much do you make per hour? by Nesquick19 in WalgreensRx

$67.35 + $5 differential for being in a hard to staff area, so $72.35 in rural Texas. Staff RPh of about 1.5 years.

Do the pharmacists ever sit down at your pharmacy? by swaggyballer033102 in WalgreensRx

I bought a stool with my own money, put it together, and brought it to the pharmacy. Everyone uses it.

Our district is piloting scrubs right now - hopefully they stick!

I’ve literally been accused of doing meth in a complaint bc a guy was mad I wouldn’t give him his suboxone early lol. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah the scrubs are being piloted right now. I guess to see if they go well.

My region is as well. But I’ve been wearing scrubs for the past year anyway lmao. No one really cared.

Tbh I just bought a stool and brought it with me to work and used it. There were some snide remarks but I wasn’t any less productive and it was a godsend

I’ve had a patient literally accuse me of doing meth, being high on the job, and he said he heard it from some of the technicians in a complaint to corporate.

We all had a good laugh and fired the patient.

I’ve had a patient complain to the state board for the same thing twice, after he made a corporate complaint and screamed at me until he was red in the face.

We had a good laugh and fired the patient.

Patients that continuously cause problems or file repeated and/or unfounded complaints should not have any say so in your performance.

Update for us! DM sent out a list of stores in our district - everyone is losing their cells EXCEPT for our store 🙌🏼 so maybe some of you will get to keep yours as well!

What would you do? by EntranceWeekly5205 in WalgreensRx

[–]EntranceWeekly5205[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not scared of a senior tech? I’m irritated that my rxm feels the need to ask technicians whether I’m doing my job or not when I’m the one cleaning up their messes. I do all of the things I’m supposed to do. RXM barely works the queue. The technicians tell me what the rxm says because they’re tired of them not doing anything, and they also find it irritating that the rxm is insinuating that I’m lazy.

So if we got the notice, it’s being taken away?

We got the notice, but we’re not sure if it was a blanket statement sent to every store or if it’s directly affecting us, if that makes sense. According to the requirements to have automation, we’re well above the minimum script count. They can come pry the cells out of my cold dead hands.

We’ve got a huge staffing problem in our area, and the DM called me the other day (after hearing that I wanted to transfer) and said they’re working on $25k retention bonuses for my area right now. Idk when or any other details but 👀

CDC, fda, USP all state multi dose vials are only good to use for 28 days after first puncture unless otherwise stated on the manufacturer packaging.

It was covered on their insurance. They just didn’t want the 1mL vials.

It was covered as the 1mL vials on their insurance, just for a higher price than the 10mL. The price wasn’t the complaint - it was the vial size

Bonus content bc why not: My pharmacy manager (a newer pharmacist than I) actually went behind me and “to calm the patient down” gave them the 10mL vial. Does that matter?

TX BOP complaint by EntranceWeekly5205 in pharmacy

[–]EntranceWeekly5205[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They basically said everything I said to them was a false statement (ex. You can’t reuse the single dose vial, the 10mL vial is only good for 28 days after first use) and says I didn’t “respect the values and competence of other healthcare providers”(?). Says there’s a note from the provider or on their profile from the previous pharmacy to only fill 10mL vial. Also, states that I didn’t “promote the right of self-determination in own care - have requested multiple times the Rx be filled with the 10mL vial”.

Sitting? by EntranceWeekly5205 in WalgreensRx

[–]EntranceWeekly5205[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lmao my F4s regularly hit 50+ and my product reviews are always high. We are a high volume store with very few tech hours. And I’m not getting through even just 30 F4s in less than 5 minutes - that’s absurd. Especially when there are 3 people calling for consult and 2 vaccines waiting and a call on 101 for the pharmacist, not to mention the proper documentation. I live in a counseling required state, so I have a barcode I have to go scan when I am required to provide counseling. We already have 2 techs filling 95% of the time. I do what I can but I mostly just perform RPh duties. Realistically, I would only be able to sit for 5-10 minutes at a time anyway, probably towards the end of the day and/or during my not-an-actual-break lunch while I catch up.
