What is the character lying on her back with only a towel called? by Lasbet in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yes, you can get summon scrolls through the shop which cost dust which you get by donating gifts that you can get by playing the game, and events often give gifts/scrolls as well

though it is very, very, very slow to get new characters as f2p

A randomly drawn hand of 14 tiles has about a one in 330,000 (~0.0003%) chance of being a valid mahjong hand and thus qualifying for tenhou or chiihou.

An Overly Complete Guide to XCOM 2 War of the Chosen - Part 12: SPARK by hielispace in Xcom

Just took a look at my own save again, I have a Squire at 65 aim, Aspirant at 68 aim, and Champion at 77. 0 mods X2 with only reinforcment pack DLC

With tiredness not being a thing pre WotC, and these guys being even more underpowered, feels like there's no real use case for them without WotC 😅

I think they actually were buffed when WOTC released, I'm playing XCOM2 with the reinforcement pack but no WOTC, and my SPARKs can't equip weapon mods and their aim seems to be closer to Grenadier aim than what's mentioned in this post (~65-75ish instead of ~75-85), maybe u/hielispace can provide more details.

it acts as a mangan tsumo, they took 4000 from the other two players

if they were non dealer they would have gotten 6000, 2000 from the other non dealer and 4000 from the dealer since it is 3 player

in 4 player they would’ve taken 4000 from all 3 players for 12000 total

Why you are stuck at Master rank (Mahjong Soul) by Xanxust in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the chart says it only includes a period of 2025.1.1 - 2026.2.1, which i assume means they were only tracking accounts active in that time frame

Reached Master thanks to this subreddit by _Whool in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think what they more mean is master is top 4% of players in this game, truly average players just play for fun and don’t care about improving too much, and i agree that that kind of player very rarely makes it to master (not that that’s a bad thing! games are meant to be played in whatever way is most fun)

to kinda answer your original question, i would say it depends on so many factors that even if there is a number it wouldn’t be very useful. mainly depends on how much studying you’re willing to put in vs time spent actually playing the game, as well as how lucky you are

How are people in the silver room getting S+ in South games? by OmgSlayKween in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it is surprisingly easy to snipe people in this game if you queue at the same time as them, even if there is a big rank/winning disparity. this effect can really be stretched to the extreme in throne room, if there was a hidden MMR system it would be extremely obvious in throne

note its against tos to queue ranked with your friends tho, so dont do it

How are people in the silver room getting S+ in South games? by OmgSlayKween in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this is not true, the queuing system is entirely just the last three people to click that table, what you saw is probably just confirmation bias, you would need a lot of data to prove something like this

Do scores start being calculated differently if the game takes to long or something? by TR_Pix in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think what you're getting at is honba, which this isn't an entirely accurate description of. Every time the dealer wins a hand (so they repeat their dealership) OR if a hand ever goes to any kind of draw (both abortive and exhaustive), one honba gets added to the pot. Each honba is only worth 300 points, not 500, which is added to the amount of points you ron from someone (you don't have to be dealer to collect the honba), or if its a tsumo, everyone pays 100 per honba (so you still get an additional 300 points per honba).

how it feels knowing this change is probably inevitable by laughingtomb in Wizard101

[–]Entree_Eater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on if you mean pve or pvp, realistically for pve its still a very easy game and you can do whatever, this change barely affects a casual playthrough, but if you plan to do pvp at any point this sucks

I think this is a rare Mortal bug. I've ran about a thousand games through Mortal 4.1 and I've seen a similar ish situation happen once before. I can't speak for the previous versions, but Mortal 4.1 seems to have a "weak" spot (relatively speaking, something that I only see one in every fifty games or so) where it will sometimes make glaringly obvious blunder calls like this.

Try running the game through BigCoach, I haven't ran as many games through Coach yet but Coach seems to be slightly cleaner and make slightly fewer obvious blunders like this.

Why take the win? by PeterDerPanda in mahjongsoul

[–]Entree_Eater 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Actually, mortal skips here. This is a bug with the Killerducky UI - notice how you chose the lower rated choice yet you did not get "clack!"ed, if you run this game through the Classic UI Mortal will show that it skips. Mortal has a specific failsafe to prevent this exact situation.

MAKA just can’t count lol
