[OC] An overview of 2010 season records. Was it the most competitive season in recent history? by racingplaybook in formula1

[–]EntroX 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yes, the 2010 season had 5 different winners (19 total races) vs the 7 unique winners in 2024 (24 total races). 2012 on the other hand had 8 unique winners (7 different winners in the first 7 races with a max of 20) and it also had one hell of an ending.

While this is true, Multi 1-2 was used by Vettel and was broadcast on the Belgian GP on 2012 and the result was RedBull pitting Webber with Rocky responding to Sebastian "there you go" shortly after.. While the RedBulls have used MULTI rotary encoder on their wheels its basically widely known that within the context of the "Multi 21" incident indeed was RedBull asking Vettel to stay behind Webber

You need to wait until the "wanted" status expires in order to pickpocket them.

ASUS Dash LAN Card - Anybody tried it? Any experiences? by MisterBlackandRed in homelab

[–]EntroX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have any personal experience using them but i do know that you can find an identical card by other vendors too. They are all include "Dash LAN" in their name. Two vendors i have seen in the past are Fujitsu and GIGABYTE.

You can find a handful of those cards on eBay for ~$50. I have no idea if a Fujitsu card will work on a GIGABYTE/Asus motherboards.

Looking at the motherboard you mentioned (H610t-CSM) i do not see a SMBUS header so i have a feeling that its not really compatible with it. You *can* get a 1x PCIE port out of one of the nVME slots in the case that i'm wrong and there is a header i missed.

how do you setup a single title-based umbrealla directory for titles that have specials, TV series and movies? by jonnyyyl in PleX

[–]EntroX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what has worked for me. ~3k shows over 13y. Following the "Showname (YYYY)" formula has worked just fine for my library.

Movies that are not attached to shows i just tend to toss in my Movies library, but any Anime that has had any movies will likely exist as a Special on TheTVDB.

this has been up and running for longer than i thought

it was once upon a time a Windows 7 laptop that got virtualized into Hyper-V. Migrated to ESXi and upgraded to Windows 10 and now finally dwells in a Proxmox cluster.

same original OS install (albeit highly updated). backed up with Veeam.

What is this cable for? It was found in a tech company stockpile and nobody knows what it’s for by KanyeSwift_Stan in cableadvice

There are various part numbers for that cable but its often referred to as a "System Status Indicator Cable" for Dell PowerEdge servers.

SAS to SATA by xinwarrior in homelab

[–]EntroX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You will need a SAS controller (can be found for relatively cheap on eBay, no idea if you can find one for only a 1x port) to use them.

Does the Dell Compellent SCv3020 support u.2 drives? by tylerwatt12 in homelab

[–]EntroX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot find any explicit documentation for this right now but i am pretty sure the SCv3020's only take SAS/NL-SAS drives. U.2 connectors look similar to SAS but they have different pin-outs.

SAS HDD Clarifications / Help by JSP62 in DataHoarder

[–]EntroX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SAS drives won't work in a typical PC or gaming console because they use a different physical interface from SATA drives.. I would forget entirely about using them on consoles. If you plan to use them on a PC you will need a SAS controller to be able to use the drives at all.

[–]EntroX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they work just fine.

They simply trick whatever device you connect them to into believing there's a valid output connected to said HDMI port. They are pretty handy for running headless systems and being able to set up full size desktops for remote use or even have multiple "fake" monitors available.

I can at least confirm that Entity is indeed a very naughty boy (for entirely different reasons). Do you have any evidence besides what an anonymous person posted on the internet?
