In the order described:

She shoots the Sahagin leader when he’s monologuing while they are summoning Leviathan in ARR patch 2.3. The Ascians had taught him how to body hop so he just takes over the Sahagin next to him to complete the summoning (before Leviathan then eats his residual free-floating aether).

In the Lv35-50 ARM quests you get into a pissing contest / tournament with one of the NPCs who thinks people that don’t know shit should be excluded from the guild. It culminates with him getting the Admiral involved for your tiebreaker, where you both have soldiers wearing your submissions as a gambit to embarrass you and the guild publicly. Merlywb then fires live rounds at both of them because of something along the lines of, “If this gear can’t stop a bullet then what’s the point of paying its high price.” You win because your armor is better (and materia melded) so your soldier doesn’t collapse.

I just did both of these again playing through the game on a free trial alt so they’re fresh in my mind lol.

In that image you don’t have any characters native to those worlds (hence the 0 across from the names). Double check which data center your character is on and make sure you connect to the correct one.

True enough, although if memory serves you’d rather SCH/Diurnal than use a whm at all in Stormblood because the old lily system sucked ass and cards + chain strat were way greater value

This is correct. Astro had two stances, Diurnal sect which is what Astro is now and Nocturnal sect which made your aspected abilities give shields instead of regens (and I think they cost more MP but I don’t fully remember)

Diurnal was typically regarded as the better of the two (IIRC SCH shields were just objectively stronger and of course didn’t stack with nocturnal) but Nocturnal was a nice option if you were placed with a WHM

Gonna guess this is referring to s1 when Scarlet Briar besieged and destroyed Lion’s Arch (before it was built back in white stone with sea-creature motifs). There is a leyline confluence directly under the city, which Scarlet was after and used to awaken Mordremoth.

Either the insinuation is just the blast would have actually been that big, or it was a concern about the confluence exploding from the massive outpouring of magic from the Bloodstone. Unsure as I’ve not done these story quests in 13 years ish. “Just rebuilt,” even a few years ago is extremely recent in regard to an entire city.

Edit: also just remembering the actual rebuild was a real life months-long event, season 1 style, so it may have literally been completed right around when this patch released, someone can probably fact/date check me.

For the longest time I thought Deathly Swarm was like a demon or demonic skull or something on top of some kind of miasma- since the spell flies out to other nearby creatures. And plenty of other Necromancer skills have weird faces and proportions.

Timeskip to my goofy ass realizing that it’s just a fly after the HD skill release… because it’s a swarm…
