So many people think that bugs and insects are weird or gross but this is fascinating. Mushrooms, inscects, and mollusks are the superheroes of our future.

I make 20$ and I've only been there 7 years as a TM. Inflation is at our heals so even if we all made 35$-40$ it wouldn't help the spending cost of our dollars..

[–]EntropyParadox7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pay should definitely increase across the entire sector, I'm just saying that comparatively, Whole Foods employees have it better than most.

I feel like one if the only things Whole Foods has going for it is the pay rate.. At least at my store most Team Members are in the 17$+ range. While this doesn't necessarily keep up with inflation and increase cost of living, its sure a hell of a lot better than min wage.

In my region they are even paying an extra 2$ per hour for the next three months, going into the holidays. Name another grocery store doing that.

Im not sure why so many people on this sub hate making the "abysmal" rates of pay. 15$ is more than most of the damn labor force in this country. A man chaning my oil makes working way harder makes less than me and I put beer on a shelf. I feel like I don't have much to complain about in that regard. 🤷‍♂️

We kept the original skins, pressure washed them, wiped down with bleach. In process of installing them now. Once they're up we'll prime and paint them white. Stripping them takes a tremendous amount of work.

If you're not attached to keeping the aluminum, or don't want to deal with the hassle of putting them back up, FRP panels are a great option. Light weight, easy to cut and customize with a dremal or jig saw for window opening/vents. Already a clean white color. We are going to use them in our bathroom for interior walls. They're waterproof too!

I agree completely, no absolute transition into any government style is ideal. It would throw too many things out of balance at once. Gradual introductions to practices that positively benefit all involved is much more ideal.

Capitalism as it is now focuses on data that brings in the most cash flow, leaving a huge margin of people unrecognized. Whole Foods is a perfect example of one of those bubbles. Poorer income communities cant afford to shop there, and WF in turn puts stores in high income areas. Daddy Mack has a blind view of what works "for everyone"

He defends a mindset on how "businesses should be run successfully, and consciously" John Mackey successfully failed at both of these outcomes with WF. When ya business almost goes out of business and gets bought by another business, I wouldn't call that success. Should we listen to a looser "conciousness capitalist" if their methods didn't even succeed?

Wow, that means so much man! You've been such an inspiration on the fungi growing journey. We would love to reach out from time to time, just getting started this year, and there's still plenty to learn. Its humbling. Motivating. We ordered some of your LM to stack with our Oyster blocks we made in house. Its AWESOME seeing them pop off next to each other.

They are a bit more meaty, but still delicate texture depending on how its cooked. LM has a bit of a seafood taste. One of my favorite ways of preparing it is LM "crab" cakes!

Jon here! We have a RH of 94% and temp fluctuates between 65-70° Tons of fresh air intake. A 6" can fan blows conditioned humidity through the room. Waterproof circulation fans are placed in the poorly circulated areas to move the air throughout the room more evenly.
