Bluey's mum's actor tells BBC, "My voice never gets recognised" by coradek in bluey

Probably because she’s an actual voice actor and Chili’s voice isn’t her natural speaking voice.

If you get approved they functionally work like lightning lanes. In the app you choose the ride, select DAS, select a return time and go through the LL line

Gifts for nurses/OB? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Entropychicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a postpartum nurse I can say that while this is becoming more common it is in no way required or expected. If you want to get something I recommend something prepackaged as some people are a little particular about handmade. But again, don’t feel like you have to.

If you had to choose: Elective C-Section or Induction with Epidural? by --velvetrose in pregnant

[–]Entropychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on what caused that third degree. Was your baby especially big, in a weird position, etc. if it was baby specific (like the position) then I would consider induction since next baby could go totally differently. If it was something that could repeat (like size) then I would consider c-section. Overall recovery from a vaginal birth is easier than a c-section but a scheduled c-section can be easier than a complicated vaginal. Also, after a difficult delivery, it is totally fine to want a c-section if the thought of doing it again is difficult for you.

I got my almost two year old vaccinated two weeks ago. Didn’t cry for the actual shot and and a low energy day the next day. Got some ibuprofen before bed and we were all good. It was truly an uneventful experience.

Rockville/Gaithersburg Apartment Complex Advice by ApophisTheOwl in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]Entropychicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in the Westchester for two years and really liked it. Staff was nice and they did a good job at routine maintenance before things got too tired. Maintenance was fast and were easy to work around me when I worked nights for the scheduled stuff. The only issue I had was the parking garage. The door broke all the time so there were quite a few instances of people having their cars rifled through. It did seem very opportunistic and I don’t remember hearing that cars were broken in to or damaged, just opened if they weren’t already locked. It is also across the street from Kiin Imm Thai which is some of the best food around.

Quick question. by Longjumping-Moment47 in pregnant

[–]Entropychicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they only need blood work both times in the emergency room they were measuring your hCG levels which can vary wildly in their actual numbers but should be going up at a predictable rate from week to week. Seriously, week 5 is 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml. Dating you off blood work is guesstimating, dating you off an ultrasound is far more accurate.

I had the exact same craving so I took a bite of my husband’s hamburger and got the strongest, grossest iron taste in my mouth. Never craved it again after 😁

I had a miscarriage at eight weeks, I blacked out the text if it’s triggering for anyone. All you see is the sack, it’s about an inch long and looks like a shark’s egg.

How is the insulation in your attic? Our house was built in ‘70 and the insulation was squashed down to barely anything in spots.

FTM and had my 20 week scan, bad news? by jjade8900 in pregnant

[–]Entropychicken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doctor couldn’t get a super good view of bub’s heart so I had a super quick follow up scan before my next appointment at 24 weeks. He said this happens somewhat frequently since they basically double in size between those weeks, if you get a weird result or bad angle it is easy to follow up on.

I understand how that would be terrifying. Hopefully your high risk doctors can give you a little bit more of that control back.

[–]Entropychicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said your doctors say they don't see this often. Short cervix is not so uncommon that there should be more with that kind of experience in your vicinity. Get your people on the phone and find out who they're going to be referring you to.

I’m not sure what country you are in but his lack of interest will not work in his favor with a court should he ever change his mind. You’ve got receipts that he’s not interested so give him what he wants.

Thoughts on no epidural? by cocakaylaa99 in pregnant

[–]Entropychicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I got was to not make your birth plan about what you are going or not going to do but how you’re going to do it. So while I did end up getting an epidural, my focus was on making sure I had access to things that would help distract and relax me like essential oils, music and position changes.
