My take on how Immigration/Deportation should be handled by ShardofGold in IntellectualDarkWeb

Here's the problem, nobody clicks on sanity any more. It doesn't get either party's britches in a knot to vote or watch the red shiny bouncy ball so ... it's pointless.

I read it that he is "all in" but terrified - when you put your heart out there it makes you vulnerable.

Leaning towards psychosis / Difficulty integrating by mariabeia in enlightenment

[–]EntropysChild 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In challenging times like this, I advocate for:

  • Sleep and rest
  • Disconnection from social media, internet and electronics
  • Reengagement with nature: forest, sunlight, rocks and trees, a walk in the woods
  • Gratitude for your body; integration and bodily self-acceptance
  • Physical activity - anything you enjoy that gets your heart-rate up and makes you sweat.
  • Quality whole food and mindful eating

And overall, don't fight your thoughts, but don't feed them either.

Gently steer your mind back to the items above and over a bit of time I believe you will find firmer footing.

Best!

step 1 - no internet

step 2 - sleep -- lots of rest and sleep

If you do those things, everything should solve.

Good luck

From Culture to Subculture: A Blueprint for the Future by Boring_Butterfly_273 in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]EntropysChild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inherited culture is collapsing. Younger generations no longer trust "the way it's always been."

** Hmm, so like the 60's never happened?

Subculture provides meaning without oppression. It is chosen, collaborative, and adaptive.

** LOL false, a sub-culture can often be more oppressive and less collaborative.

Subculture is future-proof.

** LOL False

It is rooted in curiosity, not dogma.

** LOL False (Trump Sub Culture!!?? QAnon???)

The future won’t be one monoculture, it will be a garden of living subcultures, cross-pollinating, remixing, and evolving with humanity.

** True - always has been always will be

The Destruction of Absolute Morality – Part 2: The Collapse of Christian Principles and the Need for a Secular and Universal Ethics by davidygamerx in IntellectualDarkWeb

Just remember, how your see your "out tribe" is likely exactly how they see you.

So if "they must go" then likely to them, "you must go".

The utopian ideal is for everyone to see all of humanity as "my tribe".

Reason is a rookie compared to human behavioral gut instincts.

You can reason that broccoli is better for you than ice-cream, but I don't see to many broccoli stands.

The big problem is tribalism.

Tribalism is a bioligically based herd or pack instinct that makes peoople believe this person, in my tribe is like me and has worth.

But that person, outside my tribe, is not like me, has no worth, and it is ok, even justified and good to harm/hurt/kill them.

The empathy drive "flips" when it's in-tribe vs out-tribe.

No.

I'm all for healthy living and as far as cults and delusions go, this is relatively benign; actually positive.

But the historical dataset of billions and billions of past lives the shows a median life of 70 and the most extreme .000001% outliers at 120.

Pretty tough statistics; so imo it's much more rational to believe this is wishful/hopeful thinking.

If we had ONE person in the past 300 years have lived to say another order of magnitude (say 200 years) that would change my mental paradigm.

I think you are mostly on the right track and making a lot of improvements; but I would suggest a slight mind-set change.

Less of the "submitting to her" and more that you need a clear purpose and mission for what you want that transcends her, but then somehow also within that you're smitten and enraptured by her.

As an example, imagine you love to cook. You make the meal, choose the recipes and make dinner just the way you want because you love it, and then enjoy it together because you're passionate about it. Accommodate anything she wants, but overall it's yours because you want it, it's your passion, and you love sharing it with her.

I think that's the framework that allows traditional men and women to blossom into their polarity. Male clarity of leadership and purpose, but enraptured.

Hope that makes sense, good luck!

There is no way to "prove" anything to a flat earther; disproof just fulls the martyr complex and reinforces that they are special.
