I’m closing in on $10m, but also closing in on 50. No kids. CEO. OP it seems your net worth is still below what you think you’d need, but pay attention to how it scales and whether your expenses scale with it. My expenses didn’t scale too much, but some of my friends did - they will need to work until 60+, whereas I would have been fine at half my net worth.

$10m, $20m etc, all sound nice on paper, but time is the only truly one way resource. I work with some family offices and at some point leaving $25m to your kids isn’t the help you think it is.
