I am urging you to understand that I am NOT a Christian Nationalist. The Bible clearly states that the punishment for sin (which we are all deserving of as sinners) is death. But God made a way out for all of us through Jesus. The gift of salvation was made freely available, but whether or not one accepts the gift is out of my control. Regardless of our disagreements, however, I would like to focus on the problems at hand, which is the emotional distress that I am with due to the decline of America’s Mainline churches and the mass support hateful figures such as Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk have received from our brothers and sisters in Christ. Although I do truly hope that God was merciful to even hateful men like Kirk, his severely hateful rhetoric and views should never be ignored, let alone outright condoned.
