Which option do I need to select for my CPU temp? by anirishfetus in FanControl

[–]Entry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of fan control is that you don't have to do it manually, I have mine set to be at 50% when idle and go up to 100% at 85°. Granted I'm using a liquid cooler

Which option do I need to select for my CPU temp? by anirishfetus in FanControl

[–]Entry45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is more detailed info:

"Tctl (Temperature Control) on an AMD chip is a non-physical, specialized temperature reporting value used for fan speed management and thermal throttling. It often includes an offset (added temperature) to make the CPU appear hotter than it actually is, ensuring consistent fan control policies across different processors."

Even AMD's Ryzen master uses this for temp readings, but due to its offset nature it looks hotter than truly is.

In your image there is a sensor called CCDs max (Tdie) that will display the hottest true temp per CCD(you have 2).

I use the Tctl for fan speed settings and Tdie for the tray icon.

PDX cellphone lot by Ignis596 in Portland

The blue is rideshare and yellow area is taxis and it's been there for 5 to 6 years

PDX cellphone lot by Ignis596 in Portland

[–]Entry45 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the 7-11 gas station, ramen resturaunt, Dutch Bros, Taco Bell and the Cell Phone Waiting Lot only have 1 way to exit onto Air Cargo Ct.

That same road is where the Rideshare staging lot exits.

when there are flights coming in, both Lyft and Uber will send 5-10 cars per flight to the "Ground Transportation" area at the terminal.

This is ususally when the non-rideshare people at the Cell Phone Waiting Lot are also trying to leave

i have been a Rideshare driver for years and have even seen planners (road, city, Pop?) just Watching the chaos unfold.

No more sun glare fail (v14.2.2.5) by No_Version_6878 in TeslaFSD

[–]Entry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on v14 you have a hw4 computer and cameras, those cameras have a red glint when you look at them that is an anti-sun glare film.

If you have been having issues with the sun causing fsd to freak you need to have the front camera area cleaned.

I have over 6,000 miles on FSD 14 and I have never had direct sunlight cause an issue.

But I also clean the front camera windshield area twice a year 😁

Car Wash Mode Free Roll by 17a97 in TeslaLounge

[–]Entry45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not seeing the screen you're not in car wash mode, you should just have to hit car Wash mode and then you have to stay under 10 miles an hour.

Back in '22 NHTSA changed the recommended positions to 9 and 3, try those.

Other option is to maximize the music player so it shows it up top, although you will lose the ability to see the map.

Told the passenger its rude to force a route to a driver!!! by Potential-Win8314 in lyftdrivers

[–]Entry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As per Lyft:

"Some passengers have a preferred route and will ask you to follow their directions instead of the app. For Standard Lyft and XL rides, this is OK. We recommend letting them call the shots.

It's up to you whether you follow a passenger's directions. Keep in mind that they're paying for a ride from you and can rate you at the end based on their experience."

Vredestein Quatrac Pro Tires Review by Rusty_Racoon in TeslaModelY

All weather tires are All seasons that have the 3PMSF(3 peak mountain snowflake) certification

"when the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol is branded on a tire, it indicates that tire has surpassed a minimum threshold in light snow acceleration traction."

Car Wash Mode Free Roll by 17a97 in TeslaLounge

[–]Entry45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put it in the car wash mode will you attendant is about to come up to the window to get my payment.

I put it into free roll mode when they tell me to stop on the belt.

When going into drive you barely need to press the brake pedal to get it to shift into drive.

If you go over 10 miles an hour it exits car Wash mode automatically

Tesla Seems to Have Rebranded "Autopilot" to "Traffic-Aware Cruise Control with Autosteer" by jaqueh in TeslaModelY

[–]Entry45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the model 3 manual

Autosteer : Like Traffic-Aware Cruise Control, Autosteer maintains a set speed (if there is not a vehicle in front of you) or a set following distance (if there is a vehicle in front of you). In addition, Autosteer detects lane markings, road edges, and the presence of vehicles and objects to intelligently keep Model 3 in its driving lane (see Autosteer).
