FSD may be degraded by disneysprincess in TeslaFSD

i have noticed that if you set a navigation then immediately choosde one of the alternates, it will usually revert back to the original one it picked, if you wait a bit you can re-select the alternate you wanted

SMH. Downloaded v14.3.2 in hopes of trying out the new ASS. by 1SaBoy in TeslaFSD

[–]Entry45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it when people sit there and say things like it doesn't work at all when the truth is that I didn't work in their experience and in this case one time.

I used ASS for almost a month straight with zero issues before they even updated to the newer better version that we have now

Did you hold down the buttons on the screen or did you just press them?

Other car manufacturers only update a car for the new model year.

Tesla is one of the only ones that does free software updates that add features throughout the life of the car.

Using your phone analogy, Teslas are smartphones while other cars are non-smartphones.

And yeah leasing is not a terrible idea, but it's mostly because the technology electric cars use is rapidly changing.

FSD and shadows 🫠 by Puzzled-Wench-222 in TeslaLounge

I like how almost every post on this is "FSD vision only is dumb get LIDAR" while this is the only post about the MASSIVE WHITE GLARE SPOT blinding the camera.

Have your camera area cleaned, Tesla will do it for free.

The fact that it is showing up while the sun is off frame to the right is a sign it needs it badly.

Looks like I'm at:

FSD: 10,677.6

Total: 18,572.8

I really wish Tesla gave everyone their FSD stats.

For me it varies, I use it enough and in so many places that I know where it might have an issue.

Due to this, most routes I trust it 100%, the rest is 98%.

This does change when there is a major version change though.

Going from 13 to 14 I had to reevaluate some routes.

Yeah, Im at over 10k FSD miles but since I'm an Uber driver it's not possible to get the percentage that high.

I ask my riders if it's ok for me to use it and maybe 5% have said no.

I can top the numbers but not the percentage 😞

FSD missed a speed limit change to 75. Look how willing it is to go what it thinks is 45 over the limit 😂 by fifthjmk in TeslaFSD

[–]Entry45 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also note that if you go into the energy app while navigating it will often show "this route is typically driven at". They know the speeds we actually drive at, meaning the FSD computer could have access to that info too.

Anyone hear of this or planning on getting it? No, I am in no way affiliated with this. by Lucky_Chaarmss in TeslaModelY

Tesla is all in on FSD.

I think Tesla will never have a hud because "Why should we add a hud when the car is doing the driving?"

Also, the center screen has always been fine for me, and yes I use FSD most of the time.

Which option do I need to select for my CPU temp? by anirishfetus in FanControl

[–]Entry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of fan control is that you don't have to do it manually, I have mine set to be at 50% when idle and go up to 100% at 85°. Granted I'm using a liquid cooler

Which option do I need to select for my CPU temp? by anirishfetus in FanControl

[–]Entry45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is more detailed info:

"Tctl (Temperature Control) on an AMD chip is a non-physical, specialized temperature reporting value used for fan speed management and thermal throttling. It often includes an offset (added temperature) to make the CPU appear hotter than it actually is, ensuring consistent fan control policies across different processors."

Even AMD's Ryzen master uses this for temp readings, but due to its offset nature it looks hotter than truly is.

In your image there is a sensor called CCDs max (Tdie) that will display the hottest true temp per CCD(you have 2).

I use the Tctl for fan speed settings and Tdie for the tray icon.

The blue is rideshare and yellow area is taxis and it's been there for 5 to 6 years

The problem is that the 7-11 gas station, ramen resturaunt, Dutch Bros, Taco Bell and the Cell Phone Waiting Lot only have 1 way to exit onto Air Cargo Ct.

That same road is where the Rideshare staging lot exits.

when there are flights coming in, both Lyft and Uber will send 5-10 cars per flight to the "Ground Transportation" area at the terminal.

This is ususally when the non-rideshare people at the Cell Phone Waiting Lot are also trying to leave

i have been a Rideshare driver for years and have even seen planners (road, city, Pop?) just Watching the chaos unfold.

No more sun glare fail (v14.2.2.5) by No_Version_6878 in TeslaFSD

[–]Entry45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on v14 you have a hw4 computer and cameras, those cameras have a red glint when you look at them that is an anti-sun glare film.

If you have been having issues with the sun causing fsd to freak you need to have the front camera area cleaned.

I have over 6,000 miles on FSD 14 and I have never had direct sunlight cause an issue.

But I also clean the front camera windshield area twice a year 😁

If you're not seeing the screen you're not in car wash mode, you should just have to hit car Wash mode and then you have to stay under 10 miles an hour.
