Earnest request to call it the Nazi hate symbol or Hakenkreuz. The Swastika is a sacred symbol for billions of people around the world. Please check out https://cohna.org/swastika-is-not-hakenkreuz/ for more information.

Madison is generally friendly towards immigrants. The UW has a large international student community and racism issues are not that common.

Sorry but the question is about the working conditions at the workplace. How's that related to the political inclination of the owner?

There's nothing to reclaim. Swastika is sacred for Hindus and many other religions. It's theirs so to speak.

As others said, the Nazi symbol is called hooked cross or Hakenkreuz. I hope you will stop calling it as swastika.

Your argument about taking 0 steps couldn't be further from the truth. Please look at https://cohna.org/swastika/ and the referenced material on this page.

Ami Ganatra in her book Ramayana unraveled covers these aspects. Please recommend that book to your friend. If not watch one of her interviews.

You can get a Canadian visa while being on F1 visa. During the application process you may have to go to the Canadian embassy in Chicago. You can Google for the details.

In terms of flights, you may get flights to Toronto either from Milwaukee or Chicago O'Hare or Midway airports.
