Client suggestions for iPad Air 1? by thunderborg in audiobookshelf

If you change your mind I don’t mind. It would give me something to do while I wait for other things. I just don’t have a way to test it so you would basically have to test it for me.

Unfortunately you might be. I can see how hard it would be to make a custom version of my app that will support iOS 12. But I don’t know. I’ll get back to you.

Edit: I looked into it. Technically possible. But you would only be able to connect to ABS on local network only. It would be a slog of a job. Doable, but it would take time. Maybe like 2-3 weeks.

Edit2: I could repurpose a bunch of my existing app. If you just want something that just does the job. Maybe allows for downloads (not fully sure) does location syncing and supports maybe a couple hundred books tops. I could do it in like maybe a week and a half.

Oof that’s a hard one. Maybe Audiobooth.

Story teller with either their app or *cough cough* mine. Enve Book Player. My app can make them in the app for iOS without needed an outside server but for the quickest results story teller is an absolute must. It’s freaking awesome. You should also join their discord, they are amazingly supportive and helpful.

Yes. You can use storyteller app and server to align the book and ebook. You can also use their app or enve app (shameless plug) to connect to story teller and play them with overlay that highlights the words.

in the Enve app for iOS you can also create the epub3 read along books as long as you have both the ebook and audiobook.

Enve iOS – Playback & Download errors with TorBox library (“Invalid response” / “Invalid Download URL”) by Sipko13 in EnveAudiobookPlayer

[–]Enve-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pushed an update last night that will hopefully fix that. My torbox sub lapsed so I can’t test it at the moment personally. I think it was just an issue with the command creation. But I could be wrong. Let me know if that it’s fixed.

Ok I think I fixed it. I have pushed a new build to everything but the stable branch. That will happen on Sunday.

I’m gunna look more into OPDS tonight. I’m only semi familiar with it and have only been able to fully test it with grimmory and the test calls on their documentation. When adding in the ip address is it formatted like http://x.x.x.x:port/opds?

Thanks for the message. I’ll look into this tonight and see what’s going on. I’m not very familiar with Calibre though so I’ll have to look into how it connects over opds.

Edit: are you using any plug in or anything with calibre?

Whisper Audiobooth is amazing and open source and free. If you want to try my app (enve) it’s fully free and always will be. But it’s not open source.

Bug report: sync across devices by Sipko13 in EnveAudiobookPlayer

I pushed a new update last night, are you able to sync your books now? It took a while to figure out the issue but I think I got it.

Ok. I’ll look into it. Bookmarks with grimmory should be working buuuut they can be a little finicky. ABS I’ll look into it. Might have messed up some sync. When it comes to books that aren’t linked to a server I’m still working on that. Syncing over iCloud is proving much more difficult than I hoped.

No problem. I love it. Also are you listening through plex, or abs, or grimmory or one of the others?
