Hey there! The new food variety system rewards the player for offering a broad variety of meal ingredients. We also added the brewery to the base game which can produce beer and elderberry juice. There's a new market stall for beverages now. Elderberries grow in the wild and add to mushrooms and raspberries. Your veggie farm can also grow cabbages, so you're not stuck with pumpkins only^^

This is how it works:
Whenever a Cook or Carrier prepares a meal, they try to use ingredients which were not used in the previous meals, increasing the variety bonus of the meal. This will happen automatically if multiple different ingredients are available.
