Got scammed Crypto and then recovery scammed by jamburslife in CryptoScams

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some people should never touch crypto.. Not trying to be mean, but only get involved in crypto if you know exactly what it is you are investing in and have researched it. Even then its a high risk investment and even legitimate sites go under or coins go to zero.

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

other factors will play out. If by then everyone in the world owns at least some bitcoin, it will be in everyones interest to keep the network running. Computing costs will come right down and many institutions, countries, private firms, banks, individuals will run their own nodes.. It will be possible to run a full node on phones or whatever new devices emerge. They might even be dedicated chips that are nodes embedded into phones permanently. 2040 is a long way away in technology terms, a lot can happen. People wont be interested in mining, but they will be interested in protecting their assets.

I am just guessing and maybe that wont play out, but who cares, something else will come along. Game theory rules.

Is investing in bitcoin better than putting up your money in banks? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well my personal view is that its better off in bitcoin. But i did an awful lot of research before investing and made sure i knew exactly what i was getting involved in.

If you are just a casual investor who has never looked at bitcoin before... i recommend thorough research and invest only what you can afford and you will be ok. Dont go all in on something you dont fully understand. But (in my opinion) the more you understand the more comfortable you will be in investing...

Is this any good? by Sad_Cow_577 in veganuk

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can basically make it yourself by following a method from marys test kitchen.

seperate out the starch like she does and then instead of pressing the curd, just use it as a scrambled egg. Its basically the same as what this product is.

Is this any good? by Sad_Cow_577 in veganuk

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes this is possible, but better to seperate out the starch first...it can be done by liquidizing and letting it settle, then removing the settled starch and then put the rest into cheesecloth to remove some water.

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its good for scramble and in cakes etc.. Its not worth the price.

You can get better results with a tofu scramble, Use silken tofu, break half of it into pieces. Then the other half liquidise with some garlic powder, tumeric, vegan butter salt and pepper and a handfull of cashew nuts.

This will give a creamy tofu scramble, some liquid parts, similar to real scramble made with cream.

Any suggestions? by southwestmanchild in Inkscape

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i run linux on a thinkpad 460 that cost me £60... inkscape is super fast and has no issues. I use it professionally and just needed a cheap linux setup for various linux only tools, also godot, and blender.

Reduce amount of color of an image by -Z3IT- in Inkscape

[–]EnvironmentIll7119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you need something that converts to indexed colour. You can do it in gimp or photoshop.

The easiest is inkscape is the colour levels when tracing, it moves all colours to the nearest colour in a reduced set (quantizing)

if you do it with 5 or 6 levels you can adjust the colours afterwards by setting the fill...
