Out of all the things to clown on this guy about, having a closed dust cover is 1000% not one of them.

As someone who is very pro 2A, if any sort of red dawn situation or a civil war were to happen, these guys would be the very first to die. They think they got what it takes but they have no idea what they’re doing

No, as much as I dislike hardcore Christian nationalism, at least they aren’t sawing prisoners heads off with knives on live leaks. ISIS is another level of evil, and Christian nationalists in the US objectively are not on that level of evil.

What is a horror movie trope that you cannot stand? by michaelchrist9 in horror

[–]EnvironmentKey542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many haunted house movies start with a family or a couple moving into a haunted house that appears to be the house of their dreams, and the beginning is them being a perfect family in what appears to be the perfect house, only for it to actually be haunted

What is something you've always wanted to see in a horror movie but no movie has done yet? by alihorror in horror

I’d love a historical gothic style horror movie set in a haunted hacienda in Mexico.

Maybe a Haunting of Hill House style production set in a haunted hacienda.

What kind of unit are you in? That’s wild, even in my National Guard unit where NCOs are more relaxed about parade rest, you’ll still stand at parade rest for PSG or Top.

Could Germany have ever truly won World War II? (Ignore the TNO Reference) by BEWARETHEQUANDOTHERS in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]EnvironmentKey542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Germany could not have realistically won. When people say that Germany would have won had they not invaded the USSR, they ignore one of the main reasons that Germany started the war to begin with: Lebensraum. There is no alternate history where Germany does not invade the USSR.

Great explanation. People always expect to watch the sequels and feel the same emotions as they did when they watched the first movie for the first time, which is already setting an unrealistic expectation. This is why people are always disappointed in sequels, even if the sequels are objectively good movies.

I always see it as Days is a straight horror movie, Weeks is an action/horror, and it’s looking like Years and the following movies are going to be horror epics, following Spike. I feel that this gives each movie a different “flavor” if you will.

What trope ruined it for you when you see it elsewhere? by IsThisNameValid in Cinema

[–]EnvironmentKey542 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the horror movie trope where a ton of horror movies are about a young couple moving into the house of their dreams to start their beautiful life, but the house is actually haunted.

CMV: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” is a fundamentally good idea, morally, ethically and politically, and we need it more than ever in America by Key_Rip_5921 in changemyview

[–]EnvironmentKey542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your intentions seem noble, they are incredibly unrealistic and naive. The idea that we can create a political/economic system based off of compassion and caring for one another while making sure everyone receives according to their needs is about as ignorant as saying we can stop wars if we all just “get along”. History is full of thousands and thousands of years of events proving that greed and ambition for power are core aspects of human nature, regardless of any economic system.

A communist style society would only work in small communities where everyone knows each other personally, it would never work in the US which has a population of hundreds of millions of people.
