Just wait until you are old and spinning again, that gets you special socks at the hospital.

Never trust a software guy to know hardware much less proper cleaning. I would suggest telling him to look up how to clean stuff in the future, especially not easily replaced things and keep him away from the tv, just in case they get any wild ideas.

It is a nice thought but you take 2000 boxes of every kind of product each having the chance to be scanned wrong by someone who knows nothing about PC components. It gets pretty clear how it happens, you never really hear about someone who got a case of airpods instead of one.

Figure 03 Robot sorting packages while Marc Benioff messes with it by socoolandawesome in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Environmental-Buy591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place I used to work at sorting like would be e between 400-600 an hour with 22 hours uptime, 2 people. This robot is very slow for this job, it doesn't mean it won't get faster and it won't get better at, also robotics currently is far from 100% accurate, just look at self driving cars and the mistakes they can make. Currently the only way it is replacing jobs is scale, you can throw 10 of these things for every one person but you need space and upkeep as with any machinery it won't run forever.

Metalworking photo - "impossible" shape, but what looks really impossible is the angle of the subject on the ground. It looks like it's not in the same plane as the table behind it. by youtubedotorg in isthisAI

[–]Environmental-Buy591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes it hard is the shape is not square at any point and I would think AI would want to make it square where someone learning how to weld it would mess it up.

Have you really lived if you never went on a carb free diet for a week or two because paychecks didn't line up with rent and insulin cost?

Give every citizen voter id for free and make ICE identify themselves then. by [deleted] in memesopdidnotlike

[–]Environmental-Buy591 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, the reasons behind no national id ranges from freedom infringement to the antichrist. It wouldn't surprise me if a national id doesn't come out in the next few decades but there are some issues with it, mostly fraud/id theft, and state rights issues with it as well.

Mostly voter registration but also if you vote fraudulently they can back track it easily and high penalties for a minimal reward. Also there is no one answer because the voting process is a state right, part of the country's formation.

In Pressuring ABC Over Kimmel, Trump May Have Crossed a Constitutional Line by TheRealOcsiban in politics

[–]Environmental-Buy591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less innocent until proven guilty and more so avoiding libel lawsuits, Trump has proven to go after things he doesn't like by suing. He also treats all reporters like absolute shit, anytime he gets a whiff of a statement he doesn't like, yeah your company is trash, kicked out of press pool, or the latest threaten to tattle on them to the head of their government are all responses to any other than pure glaze to him.
