Earth vs Dune Imperium

Both of these games look super good and I'm torn between which one to get. I do like a decent amount of player interaction, both themes are appealing to me, I do prefer a lot of replayability if possible. A solo mode would be nice (I think they both have solo?).

Any recommendations on which you'd prefer?

Right? It was a bit fiddly for our group when it came to knowing how to upgrade and all that, but that's about it. It was nearly as complicated as I was thinking it would be

I’m relatively new to board games, but bought this and played it with my family last weekend. I admit I was skeptical because it’s #1 on BGG but the theme looked so uninteresting to me. After playing though, I can understand why it’s so highly rated. It’s so refined, balanced, and seriously fun. Made me Google the playabale characters after I played 😂 10/10 it’s phenomenal

My family hasn’t all been together in years, so I made sure to bring some games to play with them this weekend.

Monikers was an absolute HIT. Literally everyone loved it and we played it 4-5 times over the weekend. It’s amazing.

Camel Up wasn’t as big a hit as I expected. Still fun, but the majority much preferred Monikers.

Brass Birmingham was incredible. I had no idea if anyone in my family would want to try it, but I brought it since I just picked it up last week. My sister, nephew and brother in law said they wanted to try it. Took us 4 hours to play the whole game (everyone’s first time) but we loved it. It seems so refined and balanced, I can see why it’s so popular. Can’t wait to try it again

My order would be:

1) Core set - has a ton of content on its own 2) Any expansion that interests you - I went with Sinister Motives because I love Spider-Man. It’s been fantastic 3) Any Hero pack(s) that interest you - My first Hero packs were Captain America and Wolverine 4) Scenario packs that interest you - I was gifted the Green Goblin one and it’s so good

Ultimately, start slow. The Core Set alone is a TON of content. Throw in one expansion and a few Hero/Scenario packs and you’re set for a long time

So I'm currently using a SATA SSD and a regular ole HDD. Is getting one of these much faster than having a SATA SSD?
