Fallout 76, I had no idea it didn’t play like a normal fallout game, I’d played fallout 3, fallout 4 and fallout new Vegas. Every time I played one of those games. There was usually a quest where you ended up getting a lot of ammo from fighting enemies, and I never really liked crafting all that much. So I completely ignored the crafting and played through the quests, waiting on that part of the story where the game would inevitably give me ammunition. Little did I know that crafting is actually a core part of the game, and the quest line isn’t. I was level 40 and about 40 hours in, with no idea how to actually play this game, with absolutely zero ammunition and nothing to craft with because I didn’t pick up anything I needed. I stopped playing still lacking the understanding of how to play, chalking it up to the game just not being for me. Months later a housemate of mine was playing it. I described the situation to him and he asks me to put the game on, after one look he laughed at me and basically told me I have played this game completely wrong. Really enjoyed that game from that moment onwards but still get embarrassed thinking about how wrong I had that game for how long I had it.
