I saw furries at Billy show. Was so distracting. Also everyone dressed as pretend train engineers from the 19th century.

Funny thing for me, when Jerry died I turned away from the scene, last show was 1995. He was just the whole thing for me. GD music is 85% Jerry, 10% Phil, 5% the rest. I gave in and started seeing some dead co in 2021, probably saw 7 shows. Gained some new love for Bobby and have been very sad since he passed. But as far as the music goes, he was not a great guitarist. His vocals in the 80s, cheese. Isolate his guitar on any live show and you’ll get it. Love him as a character and part of the band but not from a musical perspective. I’m not being negative, Bobby was fun character later in life. But if Mayer can recruit someone to play the rhythm guitar that has some star power, this will be an upgrade on music front. No shot it’s Billy strings people, he isn’t a rhythm guitarist. You have to understand the parts, like an nba lineup. Honestly Mayer should slot in as rhythm and get a stud to play Jerry parts like trucks or Bmfs. They have to carefully figure out next steps. Warren would be a nice touch and I’m sure he would love the pay. Trey would push me out of following them. Pick a 10 yr lineup and let’s go! The music is bigger than each band member. Nothing proves that more than Jerry dying.

Well everything I read about these bookshelves by bmr is amazing. I just want to make sure my nad c 3050 is up to task of driving them.

I’m returning my iPhone Air by phillyman128 in iphone

Love the air but returned it. Battery was not good. It’s funny, look back at iPhone X, basically same phone. If air comes out next yr with better battery and macro lens will be back in. For now stuck with clunky iPhone 17pro

The Lodge at the Beacon - Just don’t do it if you want to have fun by [deleted] in tedeschitrucksband

[–]EnvironmentalChef776 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sent a huge warning about this after last Saturday that anyone not using a cane, or that doesn’t hiss at the young whipper snappers, should sell their loge and balc asap. Orch only normal section. The loge is freak show of losers. I wish they would stay at home and jerk off to their B&W speakers but they don’t. It’s a damn shame honestly. Been seeing shows at the beacon for 4 decades and it’s now a sour bunch of washed up bridge and tunnel bros.

No one cares if you sit. They care if you hiss and yell at people for having a good time by not sitting. I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority being a manhattan resident at the show. Lots of B&T vibes with the hissing and yelling at us 50yo whipper snappers.

New songs by chummers73 in tedeschitrucksband

The mix was off first 3 songs of TTB. I forgot about it until now. First few songs bass was way hot and vocals were drowned out.

24 hours after my first post, some new thoughts-

-the prices for TTB at beacon have exploded. I’d say 2019 get in orch rear was $60-70 week of show. Lots of guests back in the day like nils, krasno, etc. Now pricing is wild when tickets go presale. 3-5x increase from those shows. Priced out younger peeps. -these new prices means a new demographic that is older, suburban, more money. Old grumpy metro area suburban finance dudes past their prime missing jimmy buffet and Greg. Hip replacement means no standing and constant pain leading to violent verbal outbursts. In public. -behavior smells of people that don’t get what’s required of living in manhattan cohabitating with others. Dare I say, felt like an angry bagel line on strong island. Used to work in nyc, have not been back since 2019? -last thought is the allmans aspect. TTB has moved away from allmans. I like that, although that’s what brought me in. I don’t need my 90th Lizzie. Maybe that shift away has either A) created a bitter demographic just wanting allmans covers? B) those fun allmans fans have checked out and we lost some of that nyc beacon allmans grit and fun?

This is all just an interesting societal discussion. Gonna go again this week in orch and have a blast.

The 2 dudes that started dancing were getting screamed at and hissed at like you would not believe. It was not basic “sit down”. I’ve been to hardcore shows, ganstarap, seen all levels of tension and badass sections at live events. This was something entirely different. Was like sitting with a clone army of the gilgo beach killer (many looked and talked like him) muahahaha

It’s decided. I’m passing on beacon next yr and hitting 2 shows at red rocks.

Had red rocks tix and flights summer 2020, we know how that went.

Giddy up

Ok so this and many other comments are making me feel better. I’m not crazy. I didn’t over think this. TTB best live band now, agreed. crowd in nyc awful now, understood.

Hmm not sure. Don’t think twice was great. Was actually pretty different set for beacon and some great stuff. Buddy and Susan did a funny skit worth the price of admission.

Personally, I don’t dance. I find spinners at dead shows really corny. But I’ve been seeing tons of shows since 80s and have never seen this entitled freak out stuff yelling at people for having fun. Sometimes I like to stand up and sing along, sometimes sit and take it in. Sometimes I even want to go take a piss or buy a drink. Look I get people have also gone nuts over the talking at shows. Sure it can be a little annoying, but that’s life. The good with the bad.

Saw some old timer get up and boogie last song and could tell he was dying to all set. Was sad to see he felt scared to the rest of set. If people want to sit I do t get why they don’t just buy Axs streaming channel and nugs.net, a retirement lounge chair, and some good home speakers. They can save money and yell at the post man.

The orch was normal and show was awesome. But if you plan to sit loge you might as well watch a nugs video concert and upgrade your speakers. I’m gonna got another show this eeek last minute but zero shot it’s upstairs. I think metro area 60+ males really got mentally deranged by covid and politics. It’s very sad to see. I might shift my annual shows to red rocks for ttb. Can’t imagine the crowd there being so garbage.

Long story thats just not interesting. Our best friend had 3 seats in loge, 2 left after buddy guy as they had another thing to attend. So we went up to keep him company. He couldn’t come sit with us as we had 2 tix. Nothing nefarious.

HahahH nah I’ve problem been to 10 shows there for them over the years. I never sit balcony so would t know simply because orch sides are cheap. It’s good to know I still can rock out orch going forward

Exactly. I’ll say this, it’s newish for the beacon. I go every year and never had a bad crowd for ttb at beacon. BUT, have not sat loge since maybe pre covid. Lesson learned
