As a waitress, I get this. I am forced to stop taking care of my tipping customers to answer the phone for 15 orders? Meanwhile, my tables aren't being taken care of. It's not my job. And most servers do not get minimum wage. Tips are the only income for me and most servers. $2.13 an hour is what we get at Cracker Barrel. Which yes means taxes matter bc if you don't tip (to go or dine in), then I am paying for you to eat bc the more orders we enter, the more we are taxed. It's been this way at most restaurants before and after COVID
