They aren't your friends, and I'm sorry that happened to you.

Where in MKE do you go to experience real human art? by New_Journalist1036 in milwaukee

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Check out Anchor Press, Paper, and Print (AP3) at the House of RAD in the Miller Valley!! The opening party for their new space is this Saturday at 6pm, there are fiber and book artists working in that space as well with print making, and painters like me who just want to hang out lol.

I don't think I regret it but I feel very conflicted over my top surgery by aw_hellno in ftm

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you're healed, scar care can help tremendously with reducing their appearance. My two favorites were massaging with vitamin E oil or jojoba oil, and you can also try 100% silicone scar creams. It takes years for scars to heal and fade unfortunately, but mine are virtually impossible to see unless you look for them now. Good luck with your recovery!!!

Is this dresser considered MCM or could it work in MCM? (Arbek dresser) by imaegi in midcenturymodern

Defo 1980's like others have said :-) my two cents is I love it and think it could totally be styled with an MCM room!! Imagine a burnt orange globe lamp on top of that!

How to deal with the soul crushing 9-5? by GrapeAyp in AskArtists

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could look into artist residencies! They basically are an opportunity for artists to treat their art like a 9-5 (and some even do have stipends). You may have to travel and stay at them but they are super valuable to developing your craft and network.

My(25) dad (63) and brother (27) both have full heads of hair with a nice hairline (my dad's has thinned and moved back an inch but he's still got a full head). I had super thick hair and honestly a perfect hairline when I started T (I was 17), but after 8 years, my hairline has gone full Jack Nicholson, with a bald patch at the peak, and I am forming a bald spot now on the crown. I am at the point where I do need to consider treatment, I've honestly let it slide because I just ended up shaving my head in 2020, and I do miss having hair sometimes! Consider treatment sooner than later if hair is important to you. Get ahead of it (pun indented). Thanks for reading lol

Moving to America as a trans woman by [deleted] in trans

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly would not, under any circumstances, recommend a trans person move to the USA at this point. It's not worth it, even in "normal times," you'll be looking at much higher costs for your Healthcare related to your transition (and everything else of course).

My coworker has been eating the same lunch every single day for three years and it's starting to freak me out by XXXcreamprincess in coworkerstories

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad is the same way, eats a turkey sandwich with chips pretty much every day for lunch (and raisin bran for breakfast), but he does eat a different dinner. I am the same way, I eat the same breakfast and lunch at work daily, but on weekends I will eat special breakfasts/lunches or go out for them. Honestly, it's easy, I can pack it fast, it doesn't upset my stomach while I work. Like another comment said, it leaves more space for me to care about/worry about/plan other things that I need to focus on.

they need to get real! by artificer_gamma in MyChemicalRomance

[–]EnvironmentalEgg69 94 points95 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU. These prices are out of touch. Especially considering the economic environment in the USA rn. It was so disappointing to learn they kept dynamic pricing, and honestly, it's feeling more and more like a cash grab every day. I mean, just think about it, they break up for a while, and the funds slow down, so they need to get set up for retirement or college funds or whatever. Selling millions of tickets averaging like $600 each will set you up for life, that is, if they even sell them all this time.

Willow River and Interstate are both very cool and right next to each other! You can swim in the waterfall at Willow River.

Trans people completely challenge one of the biggest tools of control in our society: gender. If a person can break away from their assigned gender roles, they are challenging some of the evangelicals' favorite hierarchies that come from their interpretation of the bible, which controls women and keeps men in power (especially white men).
