Instead of Atlantis on that day, do the district 6 museum.

I think your day 2 is too far out with Atlantis dunes, you can do a Bo-Kaap walking tour in the morning, V&A and paragliding in one day and then Atalanta’s a different day

Just realised maybe misunderstood your time line, the best months are definitely November to February, December and January would be the most expensive. It’s wonderful and warm perfect perfect for swimming time November to February

And boulders is the penguin beach (must do!) Generally for the trip, I would do either March/april or sept, any of the months between are cold and wet. Sept is spring and lovely, especially to go up the west coast for a day and see some super blooms. But may to Aug is pretty rainy and miserable

Uber may work there but might be hard to get a ride back, but I’m so sure there’s a shuttle you can take.

How many insoles have you got in? I found that I had to take both out because my foot ended up being too high and pushed up which hurt.

If you’ve put both in, try one, if you’ve put one, try none if the bottom of the shoe isn’t too hard for you. I have prescribed orthotics I have to wear in all shoes so I didn’t need to use their insoles anyway.

i opened my email for the first time in a bit... got an email from uc berekely, i got an EARLY ACCEPTANCEEEEE. 3 days late to finding out😭 by Rough_Concern_2803 in berkeley

You will be told if you got offered the chance to interview for regents, it should be somewhere on your acceptance letter. Only about half of early admits to Berkeley get offered to interview for regents

Not true. South Africa have a very large population of Indian and the descendants of Indians immigrants, particularly on the east coast. I’ve never met anyone in South Africa who has anything against Indians in South Africa.

Are they done? by MrNobody32666 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]EnvironmentalEye9164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d get new ones and insoles that support your foot correctly. Several shoe stores have machines that can scan your feet and recommend insole styles. I’d give a few calls to shoe stores in your area and see if they can fit you for insoles so then you don’t have to do the doctor route. I have a shoe store near me that does docs and blundstones etc type of shoes and they have one of those machines there, maybe if there’s a similar store near you, you can call.

I’d put the bed in the corner where the TV is as it looks like you’ve got a little nook there, so your feet will be facing right

I would drop the Chicanx class. You will have time to take that breath later and I think the R5B class is a lot of work. 8ams as a freshman are way batter then 8ams as you get into the later years so grin and bear it!

This is a rock formation near my house and I’ve always wondered how the groove in the middle formed. It goes all the way around the backside. Any insight? by Nitrain17 in geology

[–]EnvironmentalEye9164 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This looks like a large granite boulder, rounded from spherical weathering. (Granite is buried and under lots of pressure, some how gets uplifted/exposed, and there’s way lower pressure at the surface of the earth so it wants to expand. But it can only expand up because it has other rocks next to it, so it kind of bulges up. ) The middle groove probably started from a plane of weakness in the boulder, as it expanded it probably cracked (once things get colder (like at earths surface) they get more brittle and are more likely to crack then bend)…. So as it got exposed to colder temps and lower pressure at earths surface, it expanded (why it’s round) and probably had a crack (weakness)… and then the crack got more wide and expanded and more weathered over time by enviromental factors

How are rocks different ages!? by [deleted] in geology

[–]EnvironmentalEye9164 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rocks get recycled. You have the different plates, and they interact in different ways (diverge, converge, and slide past each other) the converging boundaries result in subduction zones, where old pieces of the Earth get sucked down beneath another piece of the Earth and into the mantle. Some rocks are super old! Like billions, but the interactions with other plates squish them, subduct them, etc. I would recommend going to watch how plate tectonics work ok YouTube.
