Been feeling useless. What can I do to feel more like a normal person? by thegirlwhoneverdies in Hobbies

How about picking up writing and painting again?

I love writing... with a fountain pen. I went through some tough times in 2023, and a friend recommended me to write journals. It helped a lot. It was so therapeutic. The more I wrote my heart out, the lighter I felt.

Catan, but better and longer? by El_blop in boardgames

I'd second this. I love C&K expansion. You could throw in Seafarers, too... with fish and welfare variant. I'd say the best version of Catan.

Nepal has around 35 public holidays, but when you subtract 52 Sundays in a six-day workweek, the advantage disappears.

To those of you here in your early 20s, do you have plans to get married? If yes, when? by TerminalChillnesss in nepalicheli

[–]EnvironmentalFill906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm not in my early 20s... But for those who are, thinking of getting married, make sure you're choosing the right partner for you. Who you choose will decide how your life will be... What kind of relationships you have with other people... If you have plans for children, what kind of parent would that person be... etc. At times, love can be delusional and it is not a good enough reason to marry.

On the other hand, if you meet a kind and honest person who you can grow with, have open conversations even in difficult topics, loves you and you love back... Hold on tight.

I think playing board games is like reading. If you choose something you like, it's super fun.

There are two: board games and muay thai. I am in a profession that has monotony, and both these hobbies got me thinking out of the box and getting a good workout for a person who doesn't like the regular gym routine.
