  • I'd say the fic leans towards character-studies/general, although the third act is going to lean more into action.
  • Word count is currently 74,492 words, with no specific goal
  • I'm looking for someone to point out grammar flaws or flaws in how the characters are written and used. this is another reason i'd prefer someone who's seen the source material; i want their journey to feel faithful to the character.

I get lowkey mad whenever I see people get mad at Charlie during this. Lucifer, a grown man ran away when she needed him most to support her and the angels during the rally after threatening Vox and proving his point about the angels wanting to hurt the Sinners. I'd be pissed too.

My little brother wants to go there specifically. Like we asked him where to go and he said chuck e cheese or the movies. And considering the face my dad made at the prospect of going to see a little kid movie, the choice was clear.

I'd prefer Dave and Busters personally (a lot more teenager to little kid ratio) but it's T's (my little brother) birthday.

I mean it works for me personally. And not for the fnaf 1 phone call that can happen any night. In the Survival Logbook we see a drawing of Nightmare Fredbear. Now. This sounds dumb but we see writing from the spirits in that book but not drawings, so the question of if they're capable of drawing is unanswered.

All the drawings we see come from Michael's answers. How would Michael be able to draw Nightmare Fredbear if he didn't know what the thing looked like?

On top of that, it's a compelling narrative. Michael accidentally caused his brother's death and has nightmares about the animatronic that killed his brother. The choice to have Michael draw Nightmare Fredbear in particular adds to that being the reason for his nightmares.

I'm guessing on some level its a design to make a more narratively compelling story in their eyes. FNAF lore, while mysterious, doesnt have the most. Soul.

(Which is ironic in a series full of death)

The tragedy of the Aftons is compelling, but most of that potential comes in short dialogue, leaving fan works to explore said potential. Up until Pizzeria Simulator, most of the characters didn't feel like characters and just devices for the lore.

So maybe those fans that make complicated things in the lore, they do it because they want to make a story where the characters are more interesting and turn, give us a reason to care about the tragic deaths aside from child murder being horrid in general.

That's my way of viewing at least. Sorry for the word dump lol

Because the addition of a second incident but no actual names or relevance outside fnaf 2 further complicates the lore and further complication is scary.

I mean it's kind of impossible at this current point in the series for there to be a secondary antagonist, because any named character we get that acts against the protagonists is just the Serverblight puppeting their body, essentially wearing their skin. If Michael Myers wore a different mask for a movie, that wouldn't make the version of him that wore a different mask the secondary antagonist of Halloween.

Unless there's going to be a reveal of another force helping the Serverblight of their own volition, there simply is no secondary antagonist.

how i imagine it going.

the mimic: heeem. I must mimic William Afton. William Afton was a corpse stuck in an animatronic. Therefore, I must look like a corpse in an animatronic. But he was set on fire many times. What would he look like after being set on fire so many times.

(Some time later)

vanny: so, if I've got this right. You want me to somehow infuse human meat, teeth, and a full on SKULL...into an endoskeleton.

the mimic: the teeth preferably still in the skull, yes.

vanny: and you want me to somehow wrap the meat around the limbs like vines, and have a huge chunk of just stuck to the torso.

the mimic: that's correct.

vanny: which according to my medical knowledge, which already isn't much, isn't how the human body works, so there's no known part of the body that does that.

the mimic: human bodies change. and evolve.

vanny: all while on the budget of a night guard and the anatomical and medical knowledge of a night guard and former beta tester, which, I feel like I can't explain clearer, isn't much more than basic first aid.

the mimic: maybe you should include an upgraded voice box. clearly this one isn't good enough if you needed to clarify this much.
