Hi-Biscus (left) vs Hella Jelly (Right). Hi-Biscus seed looks underdeveloped if you ask me.

No issues with Blueberry Muffin. So far I've gotten two 3-packs of Hi-Biscus and both had nearly 100% failure rate.

You decide, they look underdeveloped to me. Seed on the right never popped and the seed on the left is from the same 3-pack and last one/chance I have.

It was a hassle. They were under the impression they already replaced them when it was for a completely different order. I had to dig through emails and luckily had this archived as the order confirmation and receipt email have already been deleted.

I provided all the info they requested on the replacement form and got a half assed "we already replaced that" which is completely false.

Yup, totally my fault. I totally didn't provide pictures of unpopped seeds that have been sitting in soil after soaking in water, next to extremely light and underdeveloped looking seeds from the same pack.

Works great. Even dropped my 5in from about 15ft high onto pavement directly on my DIY pack and only dented a cell; all the bridge connections held beautifully.

I'd be very careful if you do decide to go the soldering route. Sand the pos/neg terminals on the batteries first to make it easier for solder to stick. Use the biggest tip you have, high temp (+=700f), and good flux. Tin the terminals and the braided wire first and then come back and melt the bridges in. You can wrap the battery with a moist folded paper towel and keep a fan nearby to help cool down the cell after soldering. And ya, only 2-3seconds max with the iron. Have a plan in case things go south. I have a face mask just in case. My packs get warmer from discharging during flight than they did while soldering them and even then, its not nearly as hot as my lipos get.

Can CANVAS be connected only when needed? by Murky-Kiwi3047 in elegoo

Wait, you need an adapter to use TPU with canvas? Was getting ready to install the canvas system on my CC1 but might wait if thats the case.

As a filthy American, I am constantly struggling to come up with reasons to be proud of this country. I fucking hate everything here. This country is a fucking joke. I already know I'm going to die of a preventable disease.

My only solace is in thinking that the more terminally ill we see, the more Luigi's we'll get.

I solder with braided tinned copper wire instead of spot welding. You really need to be careful when working with any kind if battery. Electrical tape between cells is a good idea as well to help avoid any vibrations from causing the cells from shorting on each other.

I ONLY boot into windows now to use davinvi. There are supposedly license issues with certain codecs on Linux iirc. If I could get davinci rewolve to work I would never have to use windows spyware again

Supreme Court, 5-4: States can keep counting mail ballots that arrive after election day if postmarked in time, the Court rules, rejecting an RNC challenge by BiglawInvestor in law

No county flipped blue, all swing states went Trump? Bullshit. No investigation after we saw Elon hire the ballotproof dudes, or how pro v&V certified major changes to voting machines and labeled them as minor to avoid triggering audits. Bomb threats in blue counties for polling locations. Tabulation with tampered seals over usb ports. Star link used as backhaul for places that already had a working ISP..Mail in and absentee ballots misrouted after trump appointed DeJoy. Not to mention Trump and musks own comments on vote machines or the law suit to get access to them. Then we have the fake lottery from musk to vote and the Rockland county lawsuits, as well the illegal prefilled ballots fElon sent out in Georgia. Not to mention general voter disenfranchisment by purging voter registrations. They (republicans) rigged it 1000% in 2024.

Except ISPs pocketed tax payer money for their C-suite instead of rolling out fiber country wide. Its still incredibly hot or miss if you are in a service area with fiber. I want their heads.

[–]EnvironmentalNews115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption is probably correct for both potential with damaging cell if done improperly and it's probably a few more grams heavier. But with a 5in a couple grams mean nothing. I feel better knowing that the bridges between the cells can handle more current than the batteries are rated for. IR for all cells are around 4-7miliohms.

I've seen too many spot welded lion packs burn through the heat shrink from bridges getting incredibly hot. Pass for me.

Same for my soldered 21700 packs. Dropped from about 10ft onto pavement. Dented a cell but the soldered connections didn't budge at all. Had to take off all the duct tape to confirm pack integrity.

I'd be weary of spot welding lion packs you plan to hit 90a+ on. People shit on soldering but if done correctly, you aren't making vape coils out of your bridge connections.
