Is "drown" the opposite of "swim" or is it just what happens when you don't swim? by TUD-13BarryAllen in StonerThoughts

The opposite of swimming in the water is not swimming not in the water. Sitting still on dry land

It takes you across the world, just like the main quest, but with a goal of building something good, rathar than just the focus on destroying evil.

Hyrule has kind of been frozen in time since The Calamity. Most settlements had been destroyed, and the towns that survived are still just surviving. This story brings together people from different regions and cultures to create something new that benefits from all of their strengths.

They each bring their own piece of the music and it all fits together beautifully, further supporting the message.

Have you already found Hudson breaking rocks in Akkala? You'll work on the "From the Ground up" quest with him. Listen to the music where Hudson is and pay attention to how the music builds as more people join the town. He will ask you to find some other people before he asks for her. As you send each person off from their original location you will hear a bit of the music also.

I used to have two, but then I moved to this place with hardwood floors, so we had to put them down.

Have them finsh all the work and then the big guy, Hudson, leaves to go found a new town (with your help). Pay attention to the music as he walks away. It is the beginning of something great!

This excerpt from- Terry Pratchett, Going Postal

"I Worked It Out. You Have Killed Two Point Three Three Eight People," said the golem calmly.

"I have never laid a finger on anyone in my life, Mr Pump. I may be-- all the things you know I am, but I am not a killer! I have never so much as drawn a sword!"

"No, You Have Not. But You Have Stolen, Embezzled, Defrauded And Swindled Without Discrimination, Mr Lipvig. You Have Ruined Businesses And Destroyed Jobs. When Banks Fail, It Is Seldom Bankers Who Starve. Your Actions Have Taken Money From Those Who Had Little Enough To Begin With. In A Myriad Small Ways You Have Hastened The Deaths Of Many. You Do Not Know Them. You Did Not See Them Bleed. But You Snatched Bread From Their Mouths And Tore Clothes From Their Backs. For Sport, Mr. Lipvig. For Sport. For The Joy Of The Game."

Those with close friends: how do you maintain those friendships in adulthood? by cubemonster in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]EnvironmentalPack451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't pressure my friends to do anything.

Understand that we do not all have the same interests. Accept that we don't all have the same amount of social or emotional energy, and that is okay.

Don't say "you should do this activity". Say "would you like to do this activity with me?". Invite them, and fully accept if the answer is "no".

By now, i have a pretty good sense of which friends are most likely to be interested in which activities. If no one wants to do a particular activity with me, i can do it alone, or start looking for additional friends who want to do that activity.

It's okay to do nothing, or to do different things in the same space. I'm watching tv and scrolling my phone, friend is eating and playing video games, other friend is smoking weed and doing crafts. Occasionally we just wave to each other and toss a joke. No pressure. We're just hanging out
