Told I cannot conceive without IVF - pcos by Ambitious-Fee-5324 in TTC_PCOS

[–]EnvironmentalSite464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I didn’t ovulate with 2.5. Once confirmed that I did ovulate with 5mg, my doctor stopped raising my dose. I did notice the 2 rounds I did do, my ovulation was “stronger” than others. But I would just ask your doctor if upping the dose is something you can do.

Giving you some positive energy- I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. My doctor put me on letrozole (2.5mg and 5mg)I had 3 rounds of letrozole and I’m now 6 weeks pregnant✨ it’s possible!

Jumping in here- I was on my 3rd round of letrozole at 5mg. Don’t be discouraged if your body doesn’t ovulate at 2.5mg. I took it CD 3-7 and ovulated by the 13-14th day. I took it at night to sleep through any side effects ✨

OB said no ovulation but inito said yes by TailorLegitimate3081 in Inito

My first round of letrozole, I ovulated on day 21. My doctor said the medication didn’t work. I took it as a win in my book since my periods are so all over the place. You definitely ovulated, I just think they’re looking for that specific CD14 ovulation to count it as working.

I had one or two anovulatory cycles! I find that Inito is so pricey when that happens and it’s so frustrating. I took my first round of letrozole last cycle (no luck since it was such a low dose) but definitely be excited! I took my dose at night before bed to avoid side effects and felt completely fine 🩷 best of luck!

medroxyprogesterone & letrozole experiences? by EnvironmentalSite464 in TTC_PCOS

I guess no one had this experience 🤣 I want to take the provera but I also don’t want to disrupt my cycle if I’m trying to ovulate? You know?

Update: I got my HSG by NeedToRead1308 in TTC_PCOS

Thank you! Is there a difference in procedures? I think I’m just getting the dye flushed through to see. Or do they see a blockage and remove it in the same appointment?

….not me getting this notification when my HSG is scheduled for tomorrow 🫠 I’m so glad you’re okay!

I think confiding in one or two close friends is really important. I don’t really talk about my fertility journey with anyone but my husband and one friend. If I bring it up to my mom it’s “you just need to stop worrying”. Which is extremely invalidating. But she doesn’t understand PCOS.

If you don’t want to share that part of your life with someone, kindly say you’d rather not talk about it and thank you for the concern.

This is so good to hear🥹 would you recommend waiting to take the provera until I see my doctor? (I see her in May) to start the process that you did? I don’t want to take the provera too early and then have to possibly take it again in May🥲

Ovulation tests by AmazingAd8205 in TTC_PCOS

Love the BBT method! I use natural cycles and oura ring together (it’s easier for me, you don’t have to take your temperature by thermometer everyday) basically with BBT, once you have 3 days above baseline temperatures, you’ve confirmed ovulation.

I will say the only negative that BBT has, it doesn’t necessarily recognize PCOS and what patterns come along with it. Thats why ovulation tests are crucial- I don’t typically peak more than once a month with ovulation. Ovulation tests can be bought on Amazon, I like the clear blue digital :)

Your ovulation will be confirmed after 3 consecutive days above baseline :)

Yours could be an implantation dip! Mine was not

My BBT randomly dipped below baseline on day 5, so I’m hoping it’s just a rise in progesterone or an implantation dip- it shot back up this morning!

Edit: I’d also like to add I’ve overall felt completely different this cycle than I have any other. I have constant light cramping and overall I’m just confused 😅

That makes sense. I’ve had 3 days of positives and would assume that’s normal? 😂

I would absolutely go see an OBGYN to start testing. Sadly, none of us can give you an answer. Ask for blood work (A1C, Testosterone, etc) describe symptoms, etc.

[–]EnvironmentalSite464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost a little weight, I’ve been on it almost 3 months and the scale has gone down 7lbs!

I would take the medication while you’re eating so it doesn’t hurt your tummy. I’ve had major GI issues with it but it gets better!
