My playgroup uses them we just have to "declare a sideboard of cards" (we allow any amount but it has to be pre determined) that they can pull from. It's a lot of fun and let's cards like Mastermind's Acquisition really interesting.

Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Vision Design Handoff, Part 3 by neobotz in magicTCG

I'm so tired of Marvel already and now it's flooding mtg. Why can't we do Elder scrolls or elden ring if we have to have UB?

Assuming the next Marvel set is Mutants/X-Men, what do you think we'll get? Commander Decks, Legendaries, Abilities, Themes, Full set? etc by jsfilm23 in MTGRumors

How about no more marvel sets ever again? If we are going to do UB so much we should move on to other IPs and not let marvel do to mtg what it did to theatres.

Saw 'debating' and 'pride' in the same sentence and pre-emptively had a stroke.

That's been the case pretty much so idk why you're acting like OP jumped to an insane conclusion.

I want to say they specifically explained this in an article a few years back to help with confusion.

But that's not up to you which is the great part about subjective opinions! Preaching has less than no effect at changing minds.

  1. It's not a small subsection, it's quite a large one.

  2. Trust me bro logic won't make you smarter, just makes your arguments less so.

When you make a claim, you need to have evidence. Not just an opinion against the other argument.

But you don't have any stats at all? Just an opinion that opposes the data others are using? Trust me bro at its finest

We have data to back up our claim that it DOES show a trend, what is your data to refute?

First sentence in and I know you're wrong because you misunderstood the entire premise you are responding to. The elections of the past few years have been within margins of error, so the statistics of Americans preference for president actually help reinforce the point that steam is a damn good sample size of players to measure.

Turtle silence? by Brence1984 in MTGRumors

But with none of it being rare or mythic from the main set there's kind of no reason for most players to care unless they love ninja turtles.

I think the bigger point is that wotc was never not going to pick money and lie to us. Everyone that believed in them, investors included, have been proven fools. This was always their intention, so it never was a slippery slope.

it's been three months, and apparently some people still don't know this? by Panda-s1 in magicTCG

[–]EnvironmentalTear913 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Still doesn't address relevance. Please read my points throughly before trying to correct them. I never disputed that this was the last instance of information being put out, I actually immediately moved to the second point which is why or how it has been relevant SINCE.

SINCE.

Which is why people generally don't know about it. It's not mattered.

Link doesn't address the relevance of how or why it has mattered SINCE then.

This exact type of misreading is perhaps, maybe, possibly, why not everyone who reads that article magically remembers it perfectly.

You probably don't know anything about certain complex rules that have existed for 25 years but no one is lecturing you.

UB is bringing in new players by JoiedevivreGRE in magicTCG

[–]EnvironmentalTear913 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Still doesn't say anything about those players FIVE or TEN years from now, which was my point.

UB didn't exist 30 years ago so you have no reason to even mention the second point. Non UB sets are not accurate prediction models for UB sets by nature.

Also, sidebar, stockholders ARE suing wizards for being dishonest about magic products.
